The reason?

My Intuos3's outer plastic shell is breaking, with two cracks at the bottom, one travelling so far as about half a centimeter away from the drawing surface. According to WACOM tech support, they won't repair this, and replacement parts are unavailable. I considered using super glue in a vague attempt to stop it before it gets worse, but super glue expands and would, in all likelihood, add to the problem. In the end, after browsing used tablets, I determined that it was in my best interest to just purchase a new Intuos4. Currently, I have $200 saved up from commissions, but a new Intuos4 Medium is a whopping $350.

Because even though I've found someone willing to sell me their's for much less, I'm going to go ahead and take them up to either the full queue OR Friday.
