Goldtooth’s Goldgut - Alt
Ol’ Goldtooth is on the more friendly end of the Faerie - this creature will not try to steal your name or trap your soul in the endless dreams and debauchery of the Fae. In temperament, even, the gold-hued satyr is downright docile, prone to lethargy and contentment while others of his kin would pull fiendish pranks and spin wild tales. Goldtooth is mostly indifferent to mortals and fellow Fae, except when a deal is proposed…
Legend has it that Goldtooth will change the fortune of those who find him if they do but two things for him: give him some gold - his favorite treat - and rub his great gold-gut for luck. Rumor has it that a few barons, and even a trade-prince of the Eastern empire owe their fortunes to their encounters with the mysterious Goldtooth. Tricksters aught to beware, though! While seemingly soft and mellow, the old goat’s still got bite if any are to try tricking him with fool’s gold, alchemic gold, or any other lie or deceit.
It has been recorded, once or twice, of some notable tricksters and fiends going missing near Goldtooth’s haunts, after having eagerly shared their treacherous plans with comrades… Strange, misshapen pillars of pyrite, infested with a strange kind of honeysuckle that smells like nothing sweet are found in Goldtooth’s lands, and if any of those who knew the foul trickster’s look carefully at the faux gold pillars, they would recognize the fading imprints of the wrongdoer’s faces in the stones…

Here’s a fun personal piece from back in June, which ties in with my personal fantasy world I’ve used for tabletop in the past - it’s always fun to flex my worldbuilding muscles a little, and it’s even more fun to draw big, fat satyrs like Goldtooth here. I had a lovely time drawing this big, gruff goat gut, and I hope you all like what you see with this gold-loving fellow!
