After giving Crescent a feast, Kroko hired Crescent to explore the tomb of King Yami the first to retrieve one of legendary weapons, The Cursed Lance. Kroko sent some of his to follow crescent's orders. After exploring, and scarring the guardian and overwhelming Yamis spirit, he gifted Crescent his lance given both similar.
The sneasel attempted to give it to Kroko, but only to end up as a diaper that Crescent kept. Kroko knew he couldn't wield it since it chose Crescent as it's master, Kroko tempted Crescent to join the Dark Gator Pirates.

Crescent rejected as they were no fun and to uptight. So kroko ended up losing some dark gator pirates to Crescent, Yami's lance, and tons of money throwing a feast. Crescent came out the real winner and of course was given a key from an earlier payment. Infuriating Kroko as now Crescent the only one who can wield it and now some of his best crewmates now at the mercy of a plushie abusing monster.
