Asphodel's body has changed quite a bit over the Almost a Year (!!!) since I first posted his initial concept. Lots has changed, actually! Both for me and for Asphodel. But this is the closest I think I've ever drawn him to my body type. Being on the full dose for T injections has changed how my body looks a lot more than I thought it would after being on T gel for so long (since 2018!) and I'm much happier now, and I want Asphodel to reflect that.

His markings have changed a lot - his initial design, especially in the face, was really cool, and a nightmare to draw from pretty much any angle other than side on, so at some point I Just Stopped. I like to think they're some sort of makeup or facepaint that since he came out as a trans guy around when I changed his pronouns in the new year, he's gotten more confident and comfortable going without, but still messes around with it for fun. A lot of trans guys I know drifted away from and then eventually back towards stuff like makeup after they came out, myself included, so I think that'd be a fun detail.

I know I'm rambling, but like. No one's making you read this, so I think it's fair game. Transitioning is weird and complicated and amazing and I like that my silly lil gazelle guy gets to reflect that sometimes :)
