i like vinyl, maybe you might know, i had an old aries record player, it was 4speed, had a setting for 16rpm, and ive never been able to figure out what a 16 is...

16 RPM records were supposed to be the highest quality, but they never took on. The slower the record moves in theory the more sound wave you can fit on it. I had a counsel stereo that had a 4 speed TT. it was a BSR though.

that would explain how i could never find one, every antique shop i ever stopped in, had no clue what i was talking about. Yea, i have an old BSR, its 2 speed tho, and has some adjustable counterweight on the other end of the arm. Its got no needle though:(

You might be able to find them in record shops. At a high price of course, as they are very rare. Finding replacement needles are easy. Just look it up online. Depending on what you wanna spend, A stylus can go anywhere from $50-$400, $150 can get you a decent one for a lower end TT.

I have a Hitachi 3-head cassette deck that looks very similar. 18Hz-22KHz response, I use it for the "analog loophole" on DRM shit

I used this for my computer output & input. However I need to take it apart & service it. I can no longer get any sound from any inputs, & almost none with regular playback. Thinking a transformer went out. As of yesterday.

Those old decks were bad for dirty switch contacts. With luck, some GC Chemicals "Nu-Trol" may help
