this picutre is awesome but if I"ve just a critique, but it's my tastes. Moon looks too much, or is, a picture and it's a pity :s
A drawn moon can be better.

The moon was drawn by me. I didn't liked it so I used a picture overlay on it, to give depth details. I drawn what a dozen of moons by this time (check my stuff you'll see), and wanted to do something better on this picture. Beside the overlay I think it still mostly my creation since I spent much time with it.

hum.. but put a picture in overlay it's not really the point.
the all picture is not really into realism. and your moon is, so it's quite strange ^^ but it was just a little thing don't worry. Try to help my pencils friends ahah :)

I should have blurred the moon, to get of the sharper details than usual. Tough I wanted it to be more detailed than usuals.

That background is especially well done. How did you come up with the inspiration for it?

Run a search for "kitsune" and read trough what wiki has to say about it. I planed to do the shrine what is meant for kitsunes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fushimi_Inari Tough at the end it has not much to do with it, since I looked trough kyousuke gallery and find that he got a picture already based on the 1000 gates of the shrine. I changed plan and just mixed japan, traditional building together.

Very cool and beautiful work. I love the night scene of the water and lamps on the water.

I love the coloring you do on your pictures, i would like to get the same kind of color look on my pictures.

The color theme of this picture was determinated when I decided it will be a night screen. So I used blue colors and the colors close to blue. Flat colors did looked pretty funny of that all blue theme. The whole started to look nice when the warm light of the lamps appeared. Orange and yellow. I don't always find the right color theme, but it looks so I did find it here. I make my flat color the way I can try different color on them. See which would work better. What I paint up for the first try usually don't be the final. Thats why I keep my colors separated from each other to be able to change em. Play around with color. Warm and cold colors can add some more atmosphere to the character. I can't tell much more, I would need to learn coloring from a real artist or something. All I do is trying out some ideas and see which works the best.

Damn I love the details worked into this piece, especially those on the fireballs and on the water. Excellent art overall.

And the fire balls was like 5 min to do. And a hour to do the light effect of it.

This is really cool.

Stars filled the sky on a clear night with a full moon. His training had just begun a few minutes ago as he worked to get towards his first of many lanterns that he had to light. The objective of his training was to learn balance. He had to light every lantern on the lake without falling in.

"Whatch your step", he muttered.

I also did that off the top of my head. It takes a minute to figure out what to say, but once I know then I can write it without trouble.

Colors are variants of blue. Expect the warm yellowish lights of the fires and lamps.

Flames are cool in a night setting. Thats why the picture has a night time theme to enhance all those flame effect. It works fine as it looks so.

Makes me think of the night time Asia themed stage from Sonic Unleashed.

Kitsune...Na ez egy olyan faj amit nem éppen kedvelek. Félreértés ne essék, ismerem a fajtát nagyon jól, de szerintem nincs jól kitalálva...valószínűleg a sok farok az oka, ami szerintem egy elég gyenge jellemző: Sok kéz (Indiai istenek), sok fej (Sárkányok és Hidrák) sok farok(Kitsune)...hát igen, nem épp eredeti. Sokszorozd meg valamely testrészt, hagyd a többit úgy ahhogy van, és máris kapsz egy új fajt...nem éppen! Ez persze csak az én véleményem, hiszen a Hidrákkal semmi bajom.

Ettől eltekintve ez a rajz nagyon jó, mivel nem húztam el a számat rajta, hogy már megint ez a faj. Inkább tényleg csak úgy néztem rá, mint egy képre, és nem éreztem negatív dolgot. A tájkép szimplán gyönyörű és a karakter maga is - Merhetem-e ezt mondani? - király! Ahhoz képest, hogy érzek a Kitsune faj iránt, ez a rajz nagyon is jóra sikeredett!

Akkor végül is sikerült elnyomni a negatívumokat a pozitívumokkal.
Meglrtem nem vagy se japán, se indiai így nincsenek sok karú farkú istenségek a hitvilágodban. Nem tudom miért de annak idején ezt a róka szellemet így találták ki. Egyébként valami hírnök féle japó istenek között és a farkainak száma azt jelzi mennyire idős és okos. Szerintem a animének köszönhető hogy előkerült ez a róka szellem a japán hitvilágból, és mivel az amcsik japán imádok és minden bejön nekik ami japán ezért most szaporodnak. Engem úgy különösebben nem zavar ennek csak 3 van szóval nem volt nehéz megrajzolni.

Kövit kedvelni fogod szerintem, mert nagy izmos sari csávó lesz a amin dolgozom megrendelés. Ha nem fájna a hátam akkor már meglenne a vonalvezetés.

A szerepjátékos múltam miatt igyekszem megismerni minden szörnyet...A Kitsune szerintem kiforratlan, túl sok minden homályos és ez sajnos nem teszi érdekessé számomra. Örülök, hogy a rajzodon szereplő Kitsune legalább nem sóhajt váltott ki, hanem egy ici-pici érdeklődést.

Az még hogy sárkány a kövi kép, nem biztos hogy egyből nyerő is...meglátjuk hogy fog tetszeni, de esélyesebb mint ez, bár ez csak az én személyes izlésvilágom. Ha a háttér legalább ennyire jó lessz, már rossz nem lehet! XD

Nem lesz háttere, mert csak referencia kép lesz.

That. Is impressive. With the light and color, I gotta say your painting captures the majesty of Himeji Castle and the grand gate of Miyajima. I am truly in envy of your skills. In fact, they look way better in your drawing than they do in photos and with the eye, but the great lighting may have something to do with that.

Perspective is a mite wonky though... that gate is incredihuge in real life.

Double-envy from the fact that I could never get through a background that amazingly detailed.

I referenced the castle and the gate, but not totally. They size was not important to me, to tell I fitted the gate to make it show the most in the background, not to be to much covered out. :3 I'm happy you like the picture.
