Original Species: Shangrigri
The Shangrigri is a terrestrial crustacean native to the dense forests in the northern part of the continent of Shangrila. It scurries around the undergrowth for tasty tidbits, such as fresh plant sprouts, mushrooms, and fresh carrion (it will eat anything). This species serves as the preliminary clean-up crew of the forest ecosystem and food for smaller predatory wyverns and other reptiles. The Shangrigti, in turn, is known to occasionally feed on small Snifflers (if it manages to catch them).
Some more desperate explorers have noted that, when cooked, this crustacean tastes similar to crabs or prawns (which it is related to). If you run out of rations during an expedition to the forests of Shangrila, the Shangrigri can serve as an emergency source of protein (especially since it is easy to find and catch).

This week I might be on a bit of a "bug hunt", so expect smaller creatures like this (every trophic pyramid needs at least a few creatures at its base to provide a good foundation for the ones on top).
