Updated lore! A new stage! Yippee! :D

1. Start:
• Basic programming on a special chip.

• Plastic & Metal

• Stiff/Hard


2. Insert chip into metlusk.
• (You can tell the chip has taken/is working if it warms up on its own.)

• Plastic & Metal Chip

• Solid special metal metlusk.

• Stiff/Hard


3. Wait. Keep metlusk somewhere safe.
• (Metlusk "swallows" chip. Becomes smooth with limb-like protrusions.)

• Solid special metal metlusk.

• Warm. Somewhat malleable. Can gently indent surface - bounces back.

• "Limbs" slightly moveable.

• Commonly referred to as a "Formling."


4. After some amount of time, a bitlet wakes up.
• (Proper extremities form. Once eyes open, is officially "online.")

• Soft "fur" and special metal.

• Warm body heat. Soft exterior, pliable like any furred animal.

• Can be pulled apart at the seams - literally.


5. After time spent feeding/training the bitlet, it eventually transforms into a full bot.
• Final stage. "Adult."

• Soft "fur" and special metal.

• Warm body heat. Soft exterior, pliable like any other furred animal.

• Can be pulled apart at the seams - literally - and limbs can be removed.

• Can be opened up safely for upgrades, lobotomization, or tinkering.


?. Mutation or virus?
• Rare transformation.

• Soft "fur" and special metal.

• Warm body heat.

• Soft exterior, pliable like any other furred animal.

• Much stronger than normal final form bots.

• Cannot be forcibly opened.

• Bots at this stage tend to be completely self-reliant and perform their own upkeep.

• Sometimes will manage or take care of others in previous forms.


?!. An aberration.
• Extremely rare transformation.

• Soft "fur" and special metal.

• Hot body heat.

• Firm exterior, only slightly pliable, like thick muscle.

• Extremely strong.

• It is completely unknown what causes bots to become aberrations.

• More akin to feral animals, aberrations are beastly. They're still intelligent, but aren't as benevolent as the previous tier.





Aberrations can also be created from bots OR viruses. It's unknown what happens to make them, but they're more violent and monstrous than any other form.
