Vampiric Channeler | Anthro Vampire Bat TFTG
Ella drove up to an abandoned mansion deep in the shady woods. It was far away from her home, far away from any sort of society, nestled away where no one could bother it…as she put the car in parking mode and got out of the car, she stared up at the crumbling house. It towered above her. A once-lively marvel.
“Take a good look, Ella…this will all be yours soon.” A suave, sultry voice in her head proclaimed.
“Yes, Lord Florin. Haha, I can’t wait.” Ella responded. She took one last look at her car and smiled. Soon she wouldn’t need it anymore. She would be able to take flight into the night just like Lord Florin did hundreds of years ago.
With the sun setting beneath the horizon, Ella took out a small flashlight and quickly and eagerly stepped inside the mansion. Ella let out another light chuckle at the flashlight. Soon, she wouldn’t need it anymore either.
“I remember when you first began researching me.” The voice of Lord Florin reminisced.
“Seems like that random burst of research I did on you really did some good, huh?” Ella remarked in return. A few months ago, she’d heard rumors of a long-dead vampire lord. One who had built up an entire cult around himself and vampirism…and after hearing about him, Ella decided to research him further, and upon doing so, ‘the interest in [Him] reawakened [His] spirit’, and Florin became bonded to her soul. From then on, Ella began to worship the vampire like a god…and with each day that passed, he became more and more powerful, to the point where he was finally able to return to the world.
“All I need now is your body, Ella.” He had explained to her. “Travel to my home, head to my chambers. There, my essence will become yours. We will be one being…and please keep your mind out of the gutter. You know that is not what I meant.”
Ella snickered again, resulting in Lord Florin groaning in exasperation.
“Let us not start this train of thought again, please…” He begged.
“Yeah yeah, such a prude.” Ella teased.
“There’s still time for me to change my mind, you know. I could always select another vessel.”
“Yeah? Who else are you going to find that’s this interested in you?”
“…You are lucky I have grown fond of you throughout the time we’ve spent together…” Lord Florin huffed and went silent. Ella then focused her full attention on exploring the mansion.
The red/black haired woman shone her flashlight all across the darkening, derelict rooms. Each room she explored was filled with old and decaying furniture, decaying, once-opulent decorations, rotted flowers…some of the rooms were even just completely caved in. It was all a symbol of how far Florin and his congregation had fallen, and how much work he and Ella needed to do to rebuild it.
“…I just want to thank you again, Ella.” Lord Florin suddenly spoke up again as Ella was scaling some old, splintered stairs. As a result, she nearly fell over and fell back down the stairs.
“Ah-! Well, you’re very welcome, my lord!” She said happily.
“I once again want to reiterate what you are getting into here…with this ritual, you will essentially cease to exist. You will become me. Do you still wish to go through with this?” He asked…for an ancient vampire lord, Lord Florin was oddly considerate.
“Of course I do, my lord. Anything for you.” Ella declared.
“Very well then…continue scaling the stairs. My old quarters are on the third floor.” Florin explained.
Ella’s anticipation only continued to climb as she did as she was told. Once she had reached the third floor, Florin began to directly tell her where to go next, and soon enough, after traversing the hole-ridden and crumbling hallways, Ella finally made it…She approached a door marked with a broken frame that a painting of Lord Florin still clung too. Ella marveled at the visage of her master…he was an anthropomorphic bat (Vampire Bat, of course) with luxurious fur that was black as pitch…his ears stood tall and proud, his two fangs jutted out of his upper jaw pompously, and overall, he looked quite nice…and Ella couldn’t wait to fully take on his visage.
Ella put her hand on the doorknob, and Florin chimed in once again.
“If you wish to back out, Ella, this is your last chance. Once you enter, you give me your consent to return.” He said.
“I understand, and I fully consent to it.” Ella responded.
“Then so shall it be…”
Ella then opened the door and stepped inside. The room was just as dusty and derelict as the rest of the mansion, though a lot more empty…no doubt having been ransacked over the years. What Ella was truly drawn to though was the balcony several feet away…bathed in the moonlight from the full moon that was now high in the sky.
“Step into the moonlight…from there, my spirit will come forward…” Florin spoke again. Ella noticed somewhat of a sorrowful inflection to the spirit’s words this time…
“Is…everything alright, my lord?” Ella asked.
“Yes…yes…just anticipating the coming events.” Florin said.
Ella decided not to question it, and finally stepped out into the moonlight…allowing it to wash over her. And immediately, she felt an overwhelming presence overcome her, knocking her to her knees.
“Thank you once more, Ella.” Florin said.
“Anything for you, my lord-!” Ella proclaimed through gritted teeth.
Speaking of teeth, they were the first to begin changing. All of her teeth grew and sharpened, but it was especially potent in her incisors, which were now starting to poke out of her lips. Ella gave a strained laugh as she felt the fangs with her tongue. Her body spasmed as the spirit of Florin made itself comfortable within her.
The changes began to spread across Ella’s face as thick, jet-black fur began to sprout forth from her every pore. Her nose receded into her face, the nostrils widening and taking on a leaf-like shape before her face muscles and bones began to stretch out, slowly but surely forming into a snout. While that was going on, her human hair was ejected out onto the floor thanks to the fur growing out. The hair ended up in a pile all over the floor, then quickly disintegrated into thin air.
Following that, Ella’s ears began to grow, slowly being pulled to the top of her head while the cartilage thinned, taking on a distinct triangular shape. They too were quickly consumed by fur.
Ella managed to get back to her feet at this point and ran a hand through the fur that now coated what was once her head. It was soft, very soft. The type of texture one wouldn’t expect from a long-dead vampire king, but Ella supposed he must’ve taken really good care of his fur back when he was still alive.
Speaking of, the fur began to spread downwards, subsuming her neck and collarbone. The changes continued their mad conquest of Ella’s body, spreading down her torso, flattening her breasts along the way. As well as that, her body began to widen. Her muscles grew in size, putting a sizeable amount of strain on her shirt and jacket. Ella groaned as she felt the fur press uncomfortably against the fabric of her shirt.
Her arms inflated in size as well, fully tearing her sleeves up. She grunted as the fabric fell to the ground all around her. Though something else would quickly take her attention, as her upper body had grown so much that her legs couldn’t support it anymore, and they gave out, causing her to fall back down. Ella grunted again as she fell down, landing right on her back and causing her to arch it from the pain of her rough landing. And at that point, her shirt finally tore, being split in half horizontally. Ella let out yet another grunt as the cold wind of the night hit ‘her’ fur. Ella decided to do away with her shirt and jacket by this point. She didn’t really need to worry about her top being exposed anyway.
Ella let out a sharp gasp as the changes started to reach her legs. Her pants tightened around her legs as they swelled, the pitch-black fur making it even more uncomfortable as the denim of her pants constricted ‘her’ legs. Thankfully though, she could stand back up now.
Ella brought her knees back in order to stand up, and that immediately caused her pants to rip apart from the knees, and any fabric below the knee fell to the ground.
Ella slowly hauled herself back up…by this point she was nearly completely gone. Her body was almost entirely that of Florin’s. All that remained from Ella by now were the remains of her pants, her feet/shoes, her mind, and the lack of wings.
Though of course, all of those wouldn’t last long, Ella could feel the fur spreading towards her feet, and she felt her legs’ anatomy changing. Her knees buckled again as her heels raised off the ground. Ella clenched her teeth as her feet grew into clawed paws and began to push against her shoes. After a few moments of pressure, the paws finally tore through the shoes, sending the tops of them rolling off the balcony. Ella kicked the soles to the side afterwards.
Ella looked down at what was once her body. She began to pant, feeling herself beginning to dissociate…but that wasn’t it…it felt like she was falling asleep. Ella knew that it was time for Floris to take over…she smiled, grateful that she was the one for Florin to inhabit.
Some more pressure began to build up in the underside of ‘her’ arms, and a set of wing membranes burst outwards, giving the bat its power of flight back.
Ella absentmindedly flapped the wings about, enjoying the last moments of control she would have over this body before she would lay dormant…and soon enough…the body went still, and Ella went to sleep…
…
…
…Florin awoke, gasping deeply, feeling as the air rushed into his lungs…he exhaled, feeling it exit.
“I…I am alive…” Florin remarked. He was alive again! Well…alive in vampire terms at least.
Stepping over the ripped shreds of Ella’s clothes, he gripped the railing of the balcony and looked up at the full moon. Florin slowly shut his eyes and savored all of the feelings of life again…the wind blowing through his fur…all of the sounds of the night hitting his ears…the cold concrete of the balcony beneath his paws…
Florin opened his eyes and looked down at himself, grunting a bit at his near-nakedness. Afterwards, he turned towards his empty quarters…
“Poetic…empty room, and empty being…” Florin remarked, stepping back into the room. He looked down at himself once again…he was alive again, but at what cost?
“…Ella…” The vampire bat mumbled. Over time, he had grown infatuated with the woman who had awakened his spirit…he eventually grew hesitant to use her body as his vessel, but no matter how much he tried to dissuade her, Ella insisted on him using her…so he obliged.
Florin placed a hand on his fluffy chest.
“…Ella…I will bring you back…no matter how long it takes, we will see each other again…” Florin wondered if she could even hear him now…did she even exist in spirit by this point?
…Whatever. He was the great Lord Florin. He would find a way! He always did!
For now though, it was time to rebuild…fly into town and quench his thirst…and find some new clothes…
Florin stepped back out into the night and climbed back onto the railing. He spread his wings wide, casting a haunting shadow behind him.
“Time to see if I still have it…” The bat chuckled, jumping into the air and taking flight…just like he did all those centuries ago. Lord Florin laughed…he would rebuild all he had lost…and once he found a way to, he’d rule over it all with Ella by his side…
