Being the awesome pirate that she is, T-square knows better than to build a sand castle so near the edge of the water. But this is just one of the lakes at Star Rock Falls so there isn't exactly a drastic tide or much of a ripple to the water. At least not bad enough to give her a chance to build this AWESOME sand castle.
That is til some jerk in a jet ski comes zipping close by.
Fucker.
Started as a doodle in Livestream to take a break from doing comic stuff. Suggested as a subject by folks, just "Sand castles" was the word thrown out there. I got about halfway through the image when the population in the stream went from 12 to zero in about 30 minutes. Go me.
This was a mixture of SAI and Photoshop. About.. two and a half hours.

Then she set off on a mythical quest to tame the waters of the world. . . Great now Michael Boltons song Jack Sparrow is stuck in my head XD. Also that's interesting, I had no idea that Cavris had a ring around it. Wonder if it has any effects other than this we might see in the story :3.

this is a wonderfully quixotic moment. the sadness of "dreaming" that can give empowerment to overcome for the next time. "from the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success". (I may have read too much into this. If so, please dont tell me). Thank you so much for sharing this piece with us.
