This is Meelo. He is a hybrid between a Siren and an Anglerfish!
He lives in some of the intense and dark sections of the ocean, which is why he has the angler fish antenna. He also has bandages around his eyes, because they're very sensitive to light, and he gets around via Echolocation.
But if he can't find his way, and his Echolocation isn't bouncing off of anything, he'll use his antenna to hypnotize a small group of fish temporarily, making a type of hivemind with them, to guide him to somewhere safe where he can swim on his own.
He's also capable of occasionally swimming to the surface for food. Where he will draw in small boats or solo swimmers toward him through a song like a siren normally does. The song causes the victims that hear it, to ignore what he looks like and forces their brains to replace him with something beautiful. Once his prey draws in close enough, he'll stop singing and drag them down to the ocean floor, letting the rapidly growing pressure, crush them to death, if they don't drown first, before consuming them
Meelo was originally a human but was forced to transform into this monster that only hungers for human flesh when he was attacked by a group of sirens while deep diving.
But because he had this giant suit on and the big metal helmet, the sirens couldn't get to him, and they sang a cursed song.
This song forced him to become one of them, and they then banished him to the deep part of the ocean, where he evolved to get the anglerfish antenna.
He was originally a marine biologist, who was doing rounds in the ocean to gather samples and inspect the ocean life within, to make sure everything was as it should be.
Before seeing a siren singing to him, but because of their song, he mistook the siren for a human that had swum too deep and was drowning.
Now he lives in the deep ocean, with nothing but pure hunger on the mind. Normally attacking smaller fish with the use of the light on his antenna as bait.
But when the hunger for human flesh grows too much, he uses the feeling of bubbles rising, as well as the guidance of hypnotized fish, he makes his way to the closest shoreline, and waits for a single human to stray too far from the general public, before enchanting them to swim to him.
