The colors might be different, but there's no doubt... this is the people mover I grew up with here in Hawaii and more specifically, Honolulu. Our then Mayor of Honolulu, Frank Fasi, expanded services and the bus fleet with 50 used coaches from Texas.

General Motors New Look "Fishbowl"

We had the noisy Detroit 8v-71 with the two speed Allison gearbox but dang did this thing move people like a magic carpet. Our terrain is rather hilly but these GM busses didn't mind, they growled and made some nose, but they climbed hills like a goat. xD

Wow at least they can climb up hills. Our senior drivers told me stories about our Fishbowls in the very late 80s and early 90s wghen they first drove them as rookies, they CAN'T climb hills! Well we carry almost a full bus most of the time during the day. There's one route and one section in the island where we drive there's a steep hill. When the bus have a full load, everyone must get off and walk up that one block to the next stop or otherwise the bus will not make it up and might roll back down the hill even, even you're still hard down on the accelerator. Yeeeeah the issue is for all these decades, we didn't take good care of our equipment. XD
