This was Sierra's tank crew, They were assigned to an Imperial Harbinger (essentially the Imperials M1A2 Abrams, yet spicier), before she was recruited to Epsilon Delta's Club Squad.
This crew was the last time she ever felt like she fitted in with her team, not to say that Club Bravo didn't feel like a second family, it just never had that same hard to describe thing. One of those if you know you know kind of things.
During their last mission, in what was thought to be a green zone, their tank got hit with a round that no one had seen before. It managed to penetrate the tank with some sort of titanium/depleted uranium alloy sabot round.
The rod in it's core went through the tanks outer armor, through Jayden's back (instantly paralyzing him from the waste down), and pinning Ashlyn's right arm to the inside of the tank. It had also caused an internal chemical leak (most likely fuel) that
warranted the need for immediate evacuation. Just before any could act a fire broke out. Kane made it out of his driver escape hatch, and Sierra out of the top, but Jayden and Ashlyn not so lucky. Knowing this Sierra went to try to pull Jayden out, to no avail
being nothing but dead weight, she turned her attention to Ashlyn. This too proved to be a pointless endeavor since the metal rod was all the way through arm in between the ulna and the radius bones, and in the metal a good inch or two. Determined
not to leave either of them behind before she could go back in Kane had climbed up, grabbed her, and pulled her back just before the inside exploded sending the equivalent of a jet blast of fire out of the top hatch.
During the investigation of the incident it was clear that there was more concern for what managed to do this to their tank then what it did to the crew. They were given options once they were cleared to return to duty. Kane stayed with the armor division,
but Sierra chose to go with a start up division that her leadership skills qualified her for.
