Ever have one of those days? Of course you have. You stare at a blank screen and your fingers don't move; and then when they do, what comes out is just totally wrong.
Enter this one with that in mind. Rather than flush it down the tube to the deletion pit, I pressed on. There are times I doubt my sanity, and yet when I do, Vixyy is there for me someway, somehow; and then things are OK.
So... hold your nose. There is a message here for all my fellow writers. What happens to you in the hard times, happens to all of us. I've been there, and this is just a little glimpse of it. Writers need other writers. We are the only ones who understand.
That's what the Thursday Prompt is all about.
Vixyy
PS - see that Walt? You're not the only one who talks to their muse(s).
and then, upon posting, one of my favorite songs came on... I haven't heard it in a long long time. James Taylor - 'Enough To Be On Your Way'

Vixyy, while you may consider this a failure and a candidate for the "circular file", this wuff has to say he totally enjoyed the conversations between the three of you. Your new detective character was immediately appealing and interesting. The little touches you gave him, like his typing and the juice glass for his drink really seemed to bring him to life, as did his internal conversations.
Wuffy doesn't really have a muse to chat with during his writing, but like Detective Morrow, the characters themselves weigh in during wuff's writing. Sometimes in conversations like Morrow does here, and sometimes just taking the reins of the story in their own hands (or paws) and steering it where they want it to go regardless of where Vrghr had thought it was going to head at the start (as happened during wuff's writing this week: Had no idea Chef was going to put his new protégé through an all-night pasta cooking session when that story started! *grin*).
As to the writing itself; Vrghr has nothing to add here. Your style and skill are always enjoyable for this wuff to read, even when you're laboring to produce it. This was actually a lot of fun and this wuff thoroughly enjoyed this slice of life read-through!

Its good to know one isn't alone during such periods, isn't it?
I'm sure Hania would have many such stories of putting up with my...moments, shall we say. Still, I think lately I'm just chipping away through any semblance of writer's block I may have had in the last months.

I don't want to offend you, but I'm grateful all you have is writer's block. Something stands in the way of your progress, but you're still pushing against it.
Some of us are dealing with 'no gas in the tank' instead. You turn the key and don't get so much as a click. Every once in a while, there will be a sound and a light will come on in the dash. A second later, it's gone and you're not certain if you imagined it.
Even your 'block' pieces are fun and interesting. I didn't know, for example, that you like licorice. That's something else we have in common.
*hugs*
