My 50th birthday was on the 30th of August and because that was the first day of the Megaplex convention I wasn't going to have hardly any time to do something fun and relaxing in Orlando (where there's no shortage of things to do for fun and relaxation) and so I pushed myself to do the drive to Florida early so that I could spend at least one full day in the area without the constraints of convention activity. Since I only had one day I defaulted to my usual standby and visited my favorite of the free Disney spots, -the resort hotels, monorail, and Downtown Disney Disney Springs. And since I couldn't keep her away I brought Gloria along with me to make commentary on some of the things I encountered.
