So here we go again, me uploadin' photos of things from real life. Silly me.
Anyways, I attended No-Brand Con in Eau Claire this year, and I had a blast there! Unlike the first time I attended, back in 2007, I decided to mix things up by cosplaying this year. I really didn't have much in mind, nor the time, so I just decided to mix things up with some of my airsoft gear.
Needless to say, the end result was better than I expected. Some of you may or may not agree with me, but I had tons of pictures taken of me when I was there. I couldn't walk down the hallways without being stopped and asked for a photo at least once or twice every few minutes, and all of that during my two day stay!
I initially was hoping to strike a look as a Helghast, with the stuff I had laying around. I made the gas-mask myself, using a 35 dollar respirator as a base. Otherwise you've all seen my airsoft gear previously. However, as I wore it during No-Brand, I thought to myself that I should really spin it off as my own character. The appearance is similar to a Helghast, and it won't be helping that I intend to illuminate the goggles this month, but still.
Despite nearly overheating on several occasions (three layers on top, two on the bottom) during the harshly cold spring of April in Wisconsin this year, I would still do it again, even during summer, which I intend to when I attend Wausaubi Con and Geek.kon in the next following months.
Needless to say, if you're a Wisconsin Fur attending Wausaubi con and Geek.kon, feel free to pull me over and say hi! I don't bite, I promise! 'Sides, it would be awfully hard to try and bite though that respirator anyways, nor none that pleasant.
Be sure to let me know what you think of the costume, I would like some feedback for a change! XD

I really should play Fallout New Vegas XD
The trenchcoat I'm sporting is actually something from Hot Topic. Ya know, back when they were selling the cool stuff like Tripp pants, spikes, and Invader Zim merchs. Scored the coat, normally $118, for a measly $30. Totally worth it, and would never expect it would come in handy like this!

You have no idea D:
Luckily I mastered how to quickly take off the head layers (four things to remove, including three straps). To combat the warmth, I'm going to be installing a fan in the helmet, as well as storing a hydration bladder in the back (where the mask pipes go) and routing the hose through one of the mask pipes into the respirator, for quick, cooling, drinkable refreshment.

Hey there, sorry about the super late reply.
I found this armor on Evike, but it appears that it has seen a few changes (which I don't think are bad personally), the price went up, and its currently out of stock. But a link can be found right here - http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_.....ducts_id=28902
Its a Matrix S.D.E.U. Tactical Vest. They also make a M.O.L.L.E variant, which can be found here - http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_.....ducts_id=31579
