So I found an ancient sketch of one of my earliest hybrids, a mongoose lamia named Chloe.

I thought for sure  TabbieWolf had drawn her at one point back in the day, but she couldn't find it (ETA: I later found it myself). In exchange, she decided to redraw the character per my suggestions. I guess the world really wanted for her to exist. She's a smooth green snake/yellow mongoose.

Chloe is Ahmad's aunt (she married into the family), and takes care of him in the absence of his parents. This also establishes that even before the global cataclysm, lamia and merfolk exist in my world.

The sock over her tailtip is because unlike most lamia, I think it makes more sense if there are no defined hips or groin, and the upper body flows smoothly into the torso with the genitalia at the very bottom as they'd be on a real snake.
