This is a story I've had rolling around in my head for a while and I'm not sure how well it fits, but I do think this situation is quite appalling lol. This would be around the time when Shelby's magical abilities were at a high peak and was quite powerful due to certain events in her her life. At some point I'd like to tell the story that brought her to this level of power but that's for another time!

Lol, that reaction from peasants at the end was funny. That was a very fun story overall. I worried that Shelby might have actually lost as that collar was able to have an effect of her at all, but she is too powerful for simple tricks like that. But I liked how that king was a little bit grotesque in his demeanor and I thought it was amusing to read.
Let him off the hook light eh? I suppose there is the chance he's somehow still alive lol. I really enjoyed writing the ending bit, that might have been the most fun.
Collars as a fashion might not be the worst, so long as they aren't magically binding and controlling!
