It has come to my attention that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been interpreted in multiple art styles.

This, then, is one of them.

(Yes, that was a joke cartoon I drew several times in the early nineties. I still think the concept was funny in the way I intended it, but at the same time it IS a bit "sour grapes.")

EDIT: I suppose I need to explain the joke. Back in the early nineties I felt there was a growing trend for cruel, bitter, nihilistic humor... like "The Simpsons" or "South Park." (Now "The Simpsons" seems relatively tame.) Ergo the satirical idea that "Teenage Mutant N**i Turtles" would be a big thing with the same audience. Yes, it was satire; I didn't really think a show like that would really exist. But this is was in the same vein as Charles Schulz parodying early 50s EC comics with titles like "Kill!" "Maim!" and "Gore!" In all the scenarios I'd imagined for the show, they were all very shallow and "Hogan's Heroes"-y. But yeah... in thirty years I've learned that, hey, these monsters are still around and the whole thing isn't funny anymore.
