Surrounded by iterations of the past, Irlaan represents the (now surpassed) present and cradles the (now present) future.
This gorgeous piece was drawn by the wondrous Pelago!
From right to left, each mask--and Irlaan--depicts a character I once utilized to represent myself online or, in the case of the third, a misinterpretation of my otherkin identity.
My final realization of both self and otherkin culminated in the form of Asaan--the mask held within their hands--and the one who is now primarily present in this gallery through commissioned pieces.
In case anyone saw it prior to the edit, I have deleted the original description. I do not wish to revisit that chapter of my life or bring further attention to my abuser as the description initially did, so I will instead state that this is the closing of the final chapter of the first book of my life. Onwards to the next!
