Here's phantora, instead of simply getting on a board or putting on the gear (when it comes to the skates), she temporarily merges with the gear...which she found out on accident. Her Phantom Storm is LOOSELY based on the Mag board design wise. There are 2 versions she can have of the Phantom Storm (really just swapping of the core being used); flight (because she's still a mecha phantom beast warbluran and nidoran female hybrid) and speed/grinding. 2 of the gear changes she has are based around the idea of making illusions of herself dubbed Double Vision (first time just makes a second copy to take the opposite route of the real deal. so if she has the flight core, the duplicate has the speed/grinding core or if she has the speed/grinding core, the duplicate will have the flight core. The second time can be a bit wonky but producing another pair of her, one may take the power type route...but being an illusion/phantom beast it would just phase right through the obstacles resulting in other power types still having to punch their way through). Technically there is an overclocked version of the Double vision gear change to make an unknown amount of illusions of herself...but for race purposes she keeps it to the 2 times. She may be able to replace one gear change on gear she merges with to have the Double Vision Gear change. When the gear is merged with her, either it defaults to a skate like look, gives her wings (or in the case of the Magic Broom, a broom head covering a spike with a trail resembling the magic broom's), or..technically both depending on the gear type. How often she changes the core type is unknown...but she does try to keep it fair.
