Silesian Planetarium is one of a kind place, located in Silesian Park in Chorzow, near Katowice.
For many years only the upper part was available. Around 2018 there was decision to upgrade it with newest technologies.
And once back after 4 years of restoration and re-build - it now has lecture places, huge exhibition hall that hosts exhibition for Geophysics and Astronomy and 6 space flight simulation units along with many laboratories.
The orb of planetarium is the biggest in this part of Europe and now with 8 4K projectors + Chiron 3 star projector is capable of projecting over 100 million things in high definition on the orb spherical screen.
The previous projector made by Zeiss labs is showcased on Astronomy exhibition (could only show 100k stars at best) and it is still fully operational.
