Using this artwork to kind of infodump about my monsters universe since a good chunk of the characters I'll be posting are from here

Monsters is one of my many oc worlds. In monsters, any creation made by humans exists. Intentional creations like imaginary friends, characters made by humans, or even changed bad monsters are considered good monsters, while unintentional creations such as creations made out of pure fear or annoyance of something are considered bad monsters. Bad monsters go after humans to harm them, so good monsters do whatever they can to protect humans from these harmful beings.

All monsters are ranked on a 0-10 scale which determines how harmful they are:

Rank 0
-All monsters that are rank 0 are good monsters.
-This also includes bad monsters that have become good.

Rank 1 – 2
-Monsters ranked 1-2 aren’t scary at all. These monsters tend to be created out of annoyances and therefore can be very annoying. These annoying monsters are usually sound-based and cause the noises you may hear at night but can’t really explain. A lot of these monsters are really good at keeping themselves hidden, so you don’t usually see them.

Rank 3 – 4
-Monsters ranked 3-4 aren’t scary but can be extremely troublesome. Most of these monsters will steal your stuff, or make your room look like a complete mess. -Others are just more annoying versions of rank 1-2 monsters. Either way, they’re not pleasant monsters to have in your room.

Rank 5 – 6
-Monsters rank 5 and 6 are usually created out of fear and try their best to scare humans. Most aren’t super scary appearance-wise, but they can still give people quite the scare. These monsters typically try to avoid physical contact and don’t want to injure the people they’re scaring, so if they accidentally hurt someone they usually bail.

Rank 7 – 8
-Monsters ranked 7-8 are terrifying. They’re so scary that people will refuse to sleep in their rooms for days, maybe even weeks if they happen to encounter one of these monsters. They’re pretty up close and personal when it comes to scaring, but they try their best not to hurt anyone. If they do end up hurting the person they’re scaring, they usually won’t stop unless they’re in severe pain.

Rank 9 – 10
-Rank 9-10 monsters are absolutely terrifying and tend to be very violent/unstable. They can severely injure, or even kill the person the monster is scaring. Other bad monsters treat them like celebrities while good monsters fear them.
