I might as well do my personal project, after all the programming i've been doing.
So yea, i don't show this part of my life often - But I've been working on projects with Unity since 2014. I made few projects here and there,
and my job also involved a lot of Unity (specifically, HDRP), well to be exact not only Unity, C# has been my main programming language,
along with Python i did in the middle. Funnily enough i started programming with Raw C, then did some C++ (along with some MFC).
At one point i dabbled on x86 ASM for shits and giggles too, but tbh i forgot most of it. Along with a lot of C++.
But tbh if i tried I could probably get used with C++ again either way.
tbh sometimes i miss pointers because Interpreter and VM languages with their GCs aren't that reliable and leaks memories everywhere.
( Even if i tell them explicitly to collect unused memory because whole idea of GC being "automatic" and these systems hate it when you want to force them )
Since yesterday i decided to make a small project that can be a bit of test and experiment but potentially a new game project featuring Linda.
So far in span of 2 days I've done :
- Custom PBR Shader that can take UDIM texture Input
- Custom PBR Shader for eyes and fur
- Setup RTX ( yes, actual real time raytracing )
- Prototype 3rd person control of character and camera, still needs some refining
Well we'll see how this goes.
