Terry had to eventually show off his new girlfriend to his mom, and just for show Rachael decided to, at the hint of a suggestion from her own mom Anna, show up extra 'pretty'! Terry wasn't lying either, the maws does like to nibble their little boyfriend when he shows clear consent, and of course Rachael and both her maws know he can't be hurt regardless but also that being gentle is just polite. Good thing too, Ruby seem pleased about his choice of a lady!
No it's not a Sophia change, this is in fact something Rachael CAN do! One of the many perks of being an alpha and the daughter of the world empress Anna!
