I don't know why I was ever nervous about performing in the circus; this is such a fun time!
The roles that opened up weren't anything scary since the stunt performers were still present; when they asked if I wanted to literally clown around, I'll admit that I was nervous at first, but after seeing some other participants dressed up and looking super happy, I jumped at the chance and was happy to go all out! There was a super friendly drag artist who helped me find sufficiently goofy clothing that had room for my tail, although I swear it feels just a bit large; she also helped with applying the super fluffy wig and big prop nose, and she even gave some helpful advice afterward.
Can't say I know how to play an accordion well, but I was told that didn't really matter and to just go with the flow; the drum design is super practical too. I'm sure I look absolutely silly in the background, even as crazy acts like motorcycle tricks, ring tosses, and lots of other insane feats like tightrope crossings happen, but the audience seems to be filled with smiles and cheers, hopefully at me too! I'll have to ask the lovely costumer if she can take a picture of me before I undress, although I'm not sure if I want to show my friends yet; maybe I'll post something on Bluesky if I'm still feeling confident later.

As with the last drawing, thank you so much to the extremely amazing Bheckadee for drawing this intentionally goofy version of myself! I asked her to go all out with circus details and she absolutely delivered; I absolutely adore this look for me, and she even said that I was a natural, which was really sweet of her. Please be sure to check out her website sometime, where she also takes commissions and has links to a super expressive and ongoing Circus Animals comic series!
