Karla is one of the few Protogens in the Lost Protogen house that has not lost their job nor lost their reason to exist. Karla was originally developed as a sports coaching assistant. She was deployed for testing at a local college for their basketball team. Her role was to be one of the athletic nurses who made sure everyone was ready before, during, and after practice/games. From hot tubs, cold soaks, or general athletic wraps, she amde sure that the players were able to perform at their very best each day. She was generally well liked if not a bit unnerving with how new of a concept it was for the team to work with. By mid season, they came around to trusting her and her treatments for the athletes. After the test, she was brought in outright by the school as they were so impressed with her work. She continued to work with the basketball team for another 6 years until she noticed on the campus how some other people were injured and had to use a crutch or other medical device to help them move about the campus. This made he think about how her skills in helping the basketball team could be put to better use than just exclusively for the team. She approached the college's board about setting up a clinic on the campus that not only let her continue looking after the basketball team players, but also allowed for students and other people from outside the school get help with physical therapy, massages, or wraps/bracing. She lives in at the Lost Protogen house not because she was kicked out of her prior living arrangement, but to better connect with other Protogens since she did not have much access to them while working for the basketball team. She is more than happy to provide a deep muscle massage or help reset some joints on the Protogens living at the house. All they need to do is ask.
