Trepidation at the thought of going to jail filled the driver's heart with an anxiety like no other, and thus he began to swerve the truck from side to side, completely ignoring whatever might have been beside or behind him in an effort to try and dissuade the lucario and midnight lycanroc from chasing after him, but all of his efforts were for naught, that was just how focused the pair were on their current mission.
The others in the back shouted at him to be more careful, as they were losing their loot following them behind unbuckled within the back, but they were ignored, though not by RipRaff as the red and white wolf licked his broad tongue along the side of his still bloody snout as he thought about filling his stomach with more fresh meat tonight. Catching up to the truck, this happening seemed to have been a very likely possibility, as once the midnight lycanroc and lucario got their claws into the side of the truck they instantly dug their paws into the ground, tearing up the concrete from the force of their sudden halt - the rough kiss of flesh against unforgiving asphalt being easily ignored as their natural regenerative healing knitted their wounds together after the fur was shorn away to reveal pale skin underneath - and then turned as one together to the right. Everyone within the truck was quickly thrown to the side as the combined strength of the two lycanthropes forced the still moving vehicle up and then off of the ground before it ultimately ended up lying prone on its side. The spinning of the wheels screeched against the road like a crying banshee as the driver, who was still desperate to get away, continued to hit on the gas.
RipRaff let out a wickedly delightful chuckle as he could smell the fear wafting from out of the interior of the metal box that now his next meal inside of it. His stomach grumbled as his glowing crimson eyes locked onto one partially delicious looking pink haired morsel that was whimpering out a groan of pain from where they were twisted around ass up against the newly made floor of the truck. Stalking forward, the midnight lycanroc tore his talons into the side of the steel hard enough to make it squeal in defeat as he opened the container with casual ease. The humans within winced in pain from the shrill sound before shaking their heads and then turning around to look at the muscular red and white wolf. The sight of the other's bestial eyes glinting with feral hunger made everyone pull back as best they could, but without something to intervene on their behalf there would be no stopping the hungry lycanthrope from having his fill tonight.
Blessed be Arceus that said intervention came in the form of a black fist knocking the midnight lycanroc back onto his ass.
The red and white wolf barked low and deep as he looked at his assailant, however Larc was totally unphased and instead stepped up and then onto the other lycanthrope's massive chest. Grinding his clawed foot into the spiky, unkept fur, the black and gold alpha snarled down at RipRaff loud and deep, the were-lucario making it quite clear that human meat was not on tonight's menu. The midnight lycanroc let out his own echoing howl in challenge of this statement, but before the message could become clear between the pair the lycanthropes heard the familiar sounds of metal being popped and electric energy sizzling within the night air.
The humans, both caked with fear for their lives, and desperation at not wanting to spend tonight in jail, sent out all of their pokemon against the duo. The darkened street soon became swarmed with nearly twenty pokemon, all of whom were in between being shaken by what they had just seen not more than five minutes ago and want to protect their masters, and yet this didn't change the odds in their favor as Carl pulled his foot from off of the downed midnight lycanroc's chest and then turned to face the downed truck and the onyx that was circling around it. RipRaff, not happy about what had just happened but unwilling to show weakness in the face of those around him, stood up and moved next to the blue and gold alpha. Side to side, the pair towered over most of the other pokemon, though a few did surpass them in height, and yet with the silver moon shining over them, giving the canine pair a shadowed cloak that was only accentuated by their glowing crimson eyes, the feral duo seemed like giants in the presence of ants as they wrinkled their lips over their drooling fangs. Raising their hands to crack their respective knuckles, Larc and RipRaff chuckled darkly as they looked for the weak link within the chain of pokemon that were looming around them.
A sharp bark made one persian hiss and then jump backwards, RipRaff sneered before rolling his tongue along his muzzle at such a sight.
A rush of motion made Larc snort and then block against a sudden kick from a hitmonlee that suddenly jumped at him. The were-lucario countered this assault with an open palmed thrust which knocked the fighting type pokemon into the side of a pair of closed dumpsters. The sounding clang of flesh against metal made the other's trainer whip his red haired head around to call out to the other. There was no time to capitalize on this new information as the alpha lycanthrope had to swiftly duck down; Larc was just able to miss a large spray of cold water being shot out from a wartortle's lips when the smaller pokemon decided that it was his turn to attack. Darting forward once he was sure that he was out of the way of the spray, Larc zigzagged around several other blasts which came from the water type pokemon's mouth all the way up until he was right within the pokemon's personal space. Once he was in range, the lycanthrope sent a powerful uppercut into the blue turtle's chin just as it prepared to fire another rush of cold water at him. Everyone watched in awe at how far the blue turtle was thrown by said assault before gravity decided to force the water type back down to earth. Kicking the wartortle after it was in range of his foot, but just before its body could hit the ground, Larc made sure to target the coiled onyx, thus letting the other know that it would not be able to avoid the fight in question, something that the stone serpent responded to with an wailing roar of indignation.
For his part, Ripraff found himself chuckling in restrained amusement at the show of grace and poise that came from the other alpha male; he didn't see a point in being so formal with his movements and instead grabbed one opponent he could and then smashed them into whatever object just so happen to be nearby, if this just so happened to be another pokemon that was fine with the midnight lycanroc, as these were nothing more than enemies of the pack, and thus they deserved only his ire and resentment, of which they had in spades. That the surrounding humans screamed at him in indignation meant nothing, well not quite. He did find himself deeply amused by their antics when one grabbed a piece of fallen pipe from where it had spilled out from the now silent truck and then charged at him. A scream from the other was quickly silenced by RipRaff grabbing the foolish man, bringing him up to his face, and then slamming his head into the top of a koffing. The resounding thud of the pair knocking into one another was followed with the sound of two bodies being tossed into the side of a building as RipRaff, upon seeing that he had instantly K.O. both, decided to dismiss them before turning his gaze onto the rest of the herd that still surrounded him.
Carl would have been so proud had he been there, but that was only until the red and white would brought his claws out to rake them against the side of a voltorb, tearing into the electric type pokemon's metallic outer flesh deep enough to make it buzz in pain.
On and on the fighting went, well, to call it a fight would have been a gross understatement of what was happening, as the two lycanthropes weren't taking much, if any, damage from the few attacks that did manage to connect into them, and instead were making a mad ruckus of motion and canine barks as they beat their opponents, human or otherwise, into the ground.
The human who had been in the truck's driver seat, upon realizing that he was on his own now as the onyx that one of his buddies had used to surround the truck was being hauled around like a whip and slammed into the sides of the nearby buildings hard enough to make the entire area shake, threw open the passenger side door of the now destroyed vehicle in get away. Running as fast as his still somewhat shaky legs could carry him, the gray haired human raced for the park just next to the street, hopeful that his sudden departure would go unnoticed by the musclebound canines.
He was noticed however, as RipRaff, whose hearing was much better than Larc's due to him having been trained at birth to be able to hear even the most minute of noises back when he was a rockruff, immediately switched his gaze from the human youth whose face he had just smashed in with his massive fist, to watch him run away. Predatory hunger instantly filled his mind and soul, as every instinct, honed from generations of feral canine that had been passed down unto him, told the red and white wolf to chase down and devour the prey that thought that it could escape him.
Pulling himself away from the now unconscious human, the were-lycanroc darted after his newfound target with a speed and desperation that would have been missed by all, save Larc, who immediately turned his attention away from the machoke that he had been easily holding down with a foot to track his packmate's new trajectory. Seeing that the other was going after a fleeing human, the were-lucario sighed before rolling his eyes. Slamming the fighting type pokemon's head in with the heel of his foot in order to knock him out, the blue and gold alpha canine quickly tore after his eternal headache. The last thing he needed was the other to defy his previous command and gorge himself on the meal that he no doubt had in mind that he wanted to partake in.
Jumping over downed trees and bushes seemed like a good idea to the the Team Rocket grunt after making his way into the park, as he was sure that his natural dexterity would give him an advantage over the beastly canine pokemon that was chasing him down, but he was quickly proven wrong with how quickly the other was gaining on him. Turning to look behind him, the gray haired youth found himself gasping as he looked into glowing crimson eyes filled with bestial hunger and joy at being able to track down one that had thought that they would be able to capture. Narrowing his eyes, the human skidded to a halt once he had come to the conclusion that he was not going to be able to escape the monstrous midnight lycanroc on foot. Turning to face the other, the grunt reached down onto his belt to draw up one of his pokeballs, sadly he had only thought to bring with him for tonight's caper, a fact for which he cursed himself for. Shaking his head, he clicked the center button on the marble sized sphere, expanding it to its normal size. Shouting out loud when the red and white wolf made a desperate tackle for him, arms outstretched and yellowed fangs on full display as they gleamed within the full moon's taunting light, the human jumped out of the way before he could be pounded upon. Popping open the pokeball within his hand, he unleashed his pokemon from his black and red pokeball without thought just as the canine's lucario companion made his way into the grassy area.
A bright array of white light revealed a slightly incensed charizard standing in between man and were-lycanroc. The human didn't think twice as he ordered the fire-flying type pokemon to expel a stream of fire at the other. Though slightly annoyed, the orange lizard did as commanded, puffing its chest up and then unleashing a roar of flame at RipRaff. Seeing the onslaught of spiraling flame coming at him, the red and white wolf snorted before taking the attack head on. The human found himself completely shocked by the sight of the other pokemon enduring the cascading heat of his partner's fiery breath, so much so that he stood almost victorious within the billowing blaze as though he couldn't feel the burn...at least until the Team Rocket grunt remember that the other was a rock type, and thus resistant against such an assault.
Calling off his partner's attack, the human found himself shouting to the charizard once again, but instead of listening to him, the faux dragon snarled at the were-lycanroc and then flew up into the sky. The thought that he was about to be abandoned filtered within the man's head, making his eyes widen in horror, at least until he saw his pokemon making a straight shot down at the red and white wolf. He resounding shout was heard too late, because upon getting close to RipRaff the fire type found himself caught by unyielding hands. The incensed reptile growled out in frustrated indignation at being held so securely by the other, no amount of struggling was able to find him purchase with which he could be released, but that was before a giant fist was raised up and then smashed into the front of his angular face.
In all his years of being with the gray haired human, the charizard had never hit like he as he right now with a level of playful violence and yet condescending indifference. Usually his 'master' would simply shout at him before recapturing him within his metallic prison whenever he 'misbehaved', so this new experience was something that he was completely ill-prepared for, so much so that his mind didn't know how to process the pain of what was happening. Thankfully, just as the blood was rushing down the side of his snout, his vision was growing blurry as his thoughts were slowly fading into darkness, he was released, but not because the midnight lycanroc was done with him, but because his human had rushed over and then bit the red and white wolf on the leg.
The pain of the surprise attack did little to bother RipRaff, the human couldn't even pierce his fur, but it was annoyingly amusing enough for him to stop what he was doing to instead flip his head down to sneer at the human. The sight of the other's black eyes glaring up at him made the lycanthrope chuckle low and dark into the night as he flipped his captive charizard around to where he could comfortable hold onto the other's tail. Once said limb, which was resolutely wagging in resistant, was comfortably settled into his hand, the were-lycanroc swung the orange lizard back and then sent him forward into the human's chest. The sound of flesh colliding into flesh was disquieting to hear, but it was nothing compared to the jaw dropping sight of both fire lizard and Team Rocket grunt flying through the air at Larc. The were-lucario didn't even think twice before he stepped to the side, thus allowing the sailing duo to crash into the side of a tree right next to him.
That the human was not splattered against the side of the wood spoke volumes about his physical strength, because any other unprepared person meeting that fate would have been completely crippled in the end, but not this man. Instead he merely shook head, which was ringing like a fire alarm, and then called out to his partner. The sight of the charizard, who before had looked so annoyed at being summoned, staring at its master with a look of awe and confusion would have been quite the sight to see...had either Larc or RipRaff cared about the pair, but as it stood, both lycanthropes were still pissed off about their beta being hurt not more than half and hour ago.
Larc snarled dangerously at this; his rage at his brother being hurt, which had cooled slightly in the midst of the chaotic fighting that had just taken place a minute prior, returned to the near suffocating burning that had shrouded his mind with animal indignation. Shaking his head so that he could continue to think clearly about the situation taking place, the were-lucario sucked in a great heap of the cool night air in order to calm himself. He needed to remain focused on the issue at question, which, in his mind, was capture and contain, and not kill, something which RipRaff did not agree to as he stalked towards him, more than likely on his way to his prey.
Turning his crimson gaze over to the down pair, the alpha was pleasantly surprised to see the charizard getting up off of the human as if he had only been love tapped by a venonat. Turning around, the fire-flying type pokemon picked its human up off of the ground and then smacked the dazed man onto the cheek in order to call him back to reality. The Team Rocket grunt shook his head and then shouted at the other. The concern within his voice was palpable to hear, which spoke volumes of his concern for the orange fire lizard, but that soon turned into a practiced series of complaints, the likes of which made the charizard reply in kind with roars and snarls of frustration.
Larc caught RipRaff's muscular arm just as the other attempted to pass him. The sudden halt to his movements caused the were-lycanroc to flip his head around to glare at him, and the offending hand, but the were-lucario ignored this look in favor of watching the now openly squabbling duo, his curiosity making him wonder what would happen next.
After that the pair spent the next minute arguing with one another the charizard turned to point at musclebound behemoth canine pair. Seeing that Larc was waiting on them the pair put aside their differences as the man drew something out of his pocket.
Both lycanthropes raises respective right eyebrows as they watched as the gray haired human slipped something over the charizard's left arm before locking its twin onto his own wrist. After that the fire lizard walked out in front of his human and then got himself into fighting position, complete with punching a fist into his other open palm for emphasis on what he thought would happen next.
The Team Rocket grunt rolled his eyes before crossing his arms together and then closing his eyes.
In seconds the pair were enveloped within a bright cascade of light which forced Larc and RipRaff to shield their eyes. Moments later a deafening roar spilt the darkening night sky as a powerful wave of aura ripped through the park. Blinking their crimson eyes open, the lycanthropes found themselves looking at a black version of the once orange colored charizard with blue flames licking out both sides of his maw as he stared in rage at the canine pair.
RipRaff chuckled at the fire-dragon type pokemon even as he drew himself back into a fighting stance. The human shouted a command and the newly evolved charizard breathed in deep before releasing a spiraling five pointed flame from its maw. The were-lycanroc let out an actual yelp when he was suddenly grabbed by his packmate and then tossed him backwards. The sudden change of his position caught the rock type completely off-guard as he had been completely unprepared for the sudden shift in both his secured position and stationary velocity, especially from the blue and gold bastard, but he was even more unprepared for what happened next as he spun within the air and then skidded to a halt a few yards away.
Larc knew he should have gotten out of the way, he could actually see that the blue flames charring the grass beneath it as though the ground were nothing more than a matchstick to it, however some part of him felt that he had to take on this challenge. So there he stood motionless as he was swallowed alive by the fire blast. He disappeared completely as the flames of the transformed dragon were nothing like his previous form, as could be seen by the fact that they burned hot heated blue, one of the hotter colors that fire could take which still being in a physically conceptual form.
Larc howled in fear as he watched his packmate becoming engulfed, his resounding cry so loud that Carl actually found himself shivering in fear from where he was being bandaged by a local Nurse Jenny as he listened to the melancholic wail.
The Team Rocket grunt roared in victory as he watched the lucario being consumed, sure that the other would be completely reduced to dust, given his natural weakness against heat, however his shout of joy was cut short by h a smoldering image stepping out from the towering azure inferno.
Larc...was in pain.
He really was.
Actually that was a lie.
In truth he felt as though he were about to die; his body was all but screaming at him for being so stupid as every inch of his being seemed to be screaming in pain from trying to survive such a powerful special attack, however some dark feral part of his mind couldn't help but laugh out loud at what he had just done.
He couldn't call himself an alpha if he couldn't endure pain, after all, even if said physical suffering came from his own stubbornness.
The Team Rocket member gaped like a magikarp as he watched the scorched fighting-steel type step forward without breaking stride once. Fear welled within the gray haired youth's heart as he tried to make sense of what he had just seen - his charizard was much the same before it rose up into the air and prepared a second attack. Before the black and blue reptile could think to assault the lucario a second time something red and white was moving towards him.
Charging ahead like a bullet, RipRaff was inside of the charizard's personal space before the other could blink. A firm punch to the dragon's gut made sparks shoot from the dragon's mouth, yet the were-lycanroc gave the flying reptile no chance to counter his fist as he punched the dragon again, and again, and again until soon his fists were blurry shadows pummeling into the mega evolved pokemon's body despite the pair of them being within the air, gravity having wisely decided to take a break for the moment in respect of the near blinding rage that had overtaken the lycanthrope's soul. Madness might have been a better word to describe what the were-lycanroc felt at that moment as he stared bloody murder at the one that had just harmed Larc, but RipRaff was in no state of mind to contemplate such things. No. All the lycanthrope wanted right then was blood and a pound of flesh for the dragon harming his packmate, as even if he hated him, NO ONE BUT HIM HAD THE RIGHT TO HURT LARC!!!
A shout from the human had the dragon flapping its wings to try and get away from the midnight lycanroc before the rock type could lay another punch onto him, but that soon changed to one of surprise and hurt as Larc decided to remind the other of his presence, a deep scowl covering its burned muzzle as he stared deeply into the youth's face.
The Team Rocket member didn't know what to do as it was torn between fleeing for his life and watching how his longtime friend was being beaten down from the sky by a familiar looking midnight lycanroc. The choice was ultimately taken from him when Larc tackled him to the ground. The man fought to try and get away however the weight of the gargantuan were-lucario was too much for him. When pearl white fangs gleamed down into his face the man found himself going through an almost out of body experience as he screamed in total fear.
