So, instead of posting a new creature species, I've decided to upload a scene. The lineart for this sucker way lying around my paper stack for a few months at this point, if not close to a year (and only recently did I get around to finishing it).
We've arrived on a open grasslands of Navia, a smaller continent in the northern hemisphere, where guinea pigs and other rodents were given time to evolve into megafauna.
A pair of Megacavia are tending to their young, while a flock of Masked Wirbles is looking for ticks and other parasites that might have hitched a ride on the giant herbivores. A pair of Grancavia are grazing nearby. Neither herbivore group is aware that a Greater Land Crocodile is staring at them from the tall grass, patiently waitng for an opportunity to strike.
The only part that wasn't done in marker was the sky, which (just like before) I did with watercolor paint (with a slight touch up in MS Paint 3D).
