New Toy! Wac always wanted a car as short as he is (well, almost), and the Lotus Emira fits the bill nicely. Quite literally, as it's quite a bit cheaper than your typical Ferrari!
No, it's totally not a mid-life crisis. He swears. His business partnership with Noicha has worked out quite well for him over the years, so he figures it's time he got a real car for a daily driver, and the Subaru WRX is now the winter car.
Might have been nice to inform the wife about that 2-year-long order, though, as it looks like Tawny will be swearing for quite a while.

Well, Tawny has her own car now, a Kia Soul. Wac would have preferred to buy her something bigger and more reputable, but she really doesn't fit comfortably in a bigger vehicle, so she really fell in love with the hampstermobile.
The nice thing about being a smol family is that you don't need to own a road tank to fit everyone.

As a short guy myself, I can relate. Recently, I was buying a car, and my wife (who doesn't drive) kept picking big ones, which I felt uncomfortable driving. For some reason, they keep making cars bigger and bigger. I have had three Honda CRVs over the years, so my first idea was to get another, but when I went to the dealer, the newer models were much bigger than the ones I was used to driving. Eventually I want to the HRV Sport, which is smaller.

Tell me about it. I am SO sick of SUVs. Someone I know just bought a Ford Ecosport (the smallest vehicle Ford sells now), and it's the antithesis of a good car. Big on the outside, minuscule on the inside. It's horrible. Hell, despite the raised suspension, the trunk floor isn't even flat, so if you put stuff in the trunk, it will just roll out of the vehicle on to the pavement.
Whenever I do a search online for cars for short people, all the web sites show you huge tanks. The philosophy is that short people want to drive big cars so they feel safer and more comfortable on the road. "Commanding view of the road" is a common sales pitch. It NEVER occurs to anyone that short people just have a hard time getting into the car, being able to see over the hood, and reach the controls.
American car culture these days sucks. I want the 90's back.
