While Iolite is one of my favorite stones, I cannot let myself get too attached, so here is the second appearance of this particular stone. Iolite usually has a lot of visual issues to deal with one way or another, and this stone suffers from windowing from certain angles, as well as is fairly included. Iolite, like Aquamarine and a few others, also do have a different color depending on the angle from which you gaze upon them. The color depicted in the photo seems to be the most rich of the pastel violets this particular stone reaches.
