Sometimes artwork can send a message. Here, Fiona Fox is having a breakdown because she has been labeled as a Villain for too long. Her removal caused by the Super Genesis Wave certainly didn't help. Then a few years later, the Archie Sonic series cancelled after a 25 year run. Despite this, Fiona would come to learn that she no longer needs to be defined by her story in the comics and that she can write herself a new one with no emotional baggage holding her back. No Scourge, Just Fiona with Sonic and Tails and all their friends going on all sorts of fantastic adventures.
