The Wave had been bested this time, The Bovine superhero had been captured by the notorious Pedra de Fogo Zaibatsu, a multinational conglomerate of a broad repertoire of industries and products. He was taken back to their main headquarters in the middle of Sao Paulo, it was a capture of fine planning and trial and error, after many attempts to subdue the hero.
Having bested the Conglomerate countless times with his refined Telekinetic abilities. The Wave had been able to move and/or flee the heaviest of traps with the power of his mind, almost effortlessly casting aside what they could throw at him, breaking free and flying away from the shackles that they attempted to force upon him. Projectiles couldn't work as The Wave was able to form a mental barrier of armor over his body, large clamps and shakles could easily be dismantled with the Wave's mind, aerial attempts of intersection were met with lost aircraft and machinery, even superpowered assets to whom work within the ranks of the board hadn't been able to beat him, despite meeting his match... it all seemed hopeless.
The PDF Zaibatsu had spent a lot of manpower and hundreds of billions of Reals in the attempt to catch the Wave. Many other private equity firms and corporations would have given up trying to capture potential 'assets' with acute Telekinetic abilities, The Wave and other supers like him would have been too overpowered to have been captured, and attempts in the past have always been futile, many previous Telekinetic beings had always died or disappeared into the population before any malevolent entities were able to seize them.
But this challenge was not a point of hopelessness for the executive board of Pedra de Fogo, The faceless bastards were ambitious... any opportunity for them to study and biologically back engineer the birthright that The Wave was born with was worth everything they threw at him. It wasn't like this wasn't their first rodeo either; They have been able to reproduce the abilities of other captured lesser superbeings in the past and have created products of military application with the research that they have gained, many modern day soldiers in special regiments around the world have received treatments from this research giving armies around the world an edge on their adversaries, which had pleased their stakeholders with plenty of capital gains. So if The Wave's almost omnipresent abilities were able to be studied, opening doors to genetic engineering commissions, modifications and products created in house from Telekentic roots then to be sold onto any entity commercially, it would surely place the Zaibatsu at the top of the economic heirarchy, even solidifying their global dominance, even over most sovereign governments in the world, no more need for lobbyists and forces to be reckoned with.
Ethics were never really a top priority for the PDF, with previous fragments of data they were able to scan and research from previous attempts of capture had them funding and researching a way to suppress the unique brain activity of their unwilling subject. Newer approaches towards capture had been developed.
With that, the story goes for the successful capture was inferred by The Wave's weakness for duty and his compulsion to help and protect society, this baiting technique was the last desperate attempt, an ends justify the means scenario that desperation ensued. This sense of duty had stemmed from the Wave's raising within a global guild of a benevolent team of heroes that have protected and aided society for centuries. The Zaibatsu exploited that sense of duty from the Wave with the success of this capture.
The board hired a team of mercenaries on a month long operation to deliberately start an arson on a hospital for children in the coastal city of Santos, about an hour's drive south east of Sao Paulo. And to gospel; the Wave was there to save the day, he was able to save 100s of sick children from the hospital, all the while the Corp completed setting up their trap while The Wave was distracted putting out the fires by reducing atmospheric pressure within each room suffocating the flames of the fire. After a tense 45 minutes, It appeared that The Wave successfully stopped the fire and saved the building from complete destruction.
Not 100% confident in his success, The Wave's speculation was right, as he heard some more screams within the cancer ward of the hospital. Unbeknown to him, it was all a trap. The hired team worked behind the door of the main CT room of a cancer ward and had set up speakers with the screams of children behind the door, the room's CT scanners had already been replaced with facsimiles housing their own counter-brainwave equipment the week before by another team of PDF agents posing as technicians.
As the Wave busted through the door, they were able to instantly suppress The Wave's telekinetic ability due to proximity to the devices beams pinpointed towards his head, causing him great pain, while distracted this gave the agents an opportunity to approach close behind the Wave to administer a tranquilliser. After being knocked out, The team then loaded the unconscious Wave into a bodybag and carried up to the roof to a stolen Ambulance helicopter. They then quickly took him back to their headquarters for primary tests.
In the following days, the incident was all over the news, many questioning why the Wave disappeared without an interview by the media, something of which many heroes obliged to partake in to make sure that the populace knows that they're there to help at a moments notice. The mystery was far too suspicious for many, there was extreme doubt that The Wave would have been perished in the fire, The Zaibatsu's frustration and ambition discarded that oversight, but they knew they had to work fast.
The suspicion included the observations of The Wave's dear friend and team partner OverHound, who had already witnessed and experienced adversarial and nefarious actions of PDF in the past towards him and his friends. He scoured as much footage of the fire as he could, trying to find where his friend might of disappeared off to. It became obvious to him that the Medical Helicopter taking off from the rood in the north west direction would have been the only logical explaination of The Wave's disappearance. Cross referencing the Homing beacon activity from the Wave's suit seemed disrupted, but there were blips scattered all over the place mostly concerntrated over the south western metro region of the city. It was blurry but it was the only confirmation of a lead that OverHound has.
With the rest of his team informed, OverHound travelled to Sao Paulo covertly not too soon after his suspicions were confirmed, all the way into the center of the city, the giant behemoth of the Pedra de Fogo building dwarfed much of the rest of the already impressive Sao Paulo skyline. A symbol of the arrogance and power of the corporation.
The disguised OverHound stood on the street below, trying not to draw attention to himself, in a rather inconspicuous throw upwards, he was able to cast up up one of his trusty drones to scan to see where his friend might be inside the building, going up floor by floor, seeing activity inside, people in offices, guards patrolling etc. The beacon in The Wave's suit was still so blurry and suspressed and the ping was weak but it was all he had, using alternative infared and x-ray sensors he could see a visual profile fitting his friend's bovine body shape, sitting down and stationary with other shapes moving around him and contorting as though they are looking closely at the stationary entity with examination, and the sitting bull didn't seem to respond to any stimuli around him.
This was a weak confirmation on OverHound's part but his drive to rescue his friend pushed aside any doubt that he could be wrong. OverHound commanded his drone to self destruct close to the tinted glass window and shattered much of the adjacent glass, in an instant all the alarms of the building wailed and the occupants scrambled, OverHound pretended to be a part of the fleeing stampede of pedestrians scurrying across the road away from the explosion.
In another instant OverHound threw up another drone to get a visual confirmation of where he thought his friend was being bound to.. Eureka... there he was, though somewhat injured by the explosion, but alive. The examiners lay unconscious on the ground.
OverHound used all he could from his drone to wake The Wave up. Finally blowing a bit of fire from one of the many inbuilt gadgets that exists inside of the advanced tech. “Hey Amigo! Wave! Wake up Muchacho!” OverHound blared through the Drone's speaker. With the addition of the flame dissipating in front of his face, The Wave flailed into consciousness, with the resulting confusion as he looked around at all the unfamiliar surroundings that he darted his eyes around.
Finally looking at the broken window with the light piercing his eyes, he can see the only familiar thing hovering a few metres in front of him. OverHound's drone... “Yaru? Is that you? What the hell is going on here! Where am I?” The Wave uttered still completely confused by his surroundings. “No time for that Wave! You've been captured, quickly, unshackle yourself!” OverHound responded through the Drone. The Wave concentrated on his powers... but couldn't, as though they had been taken away from him. “I c-can't” “What do you mean you can't chamo! Break the shackles!” OverHound urgently responded. “I literally can't mate! I feel... heavy!”
*BANG BANG BANG* “Dr Gonçalves, are you alright!” a muffled voice sounded through the walls.. The doctor and his aide were laying unconscious on the ground, they weren't getting up “Shit Yaru, get that drone of yours to cut me out of this seat!” Bellowed Wave “Alright, Alright” OverHound directed his drone to produce a saw blade and with the decades of practice sawed at the leather straps holding down the Wave's arm. “OK, OK I can get the rest” said Wave. *BANG BANG BANG* “Doctor! We're going to breach the door! Wave! You stay still asshole, don't try anything!”
The Wave, physically unshackled himself from all the restraints on the chair quickly while OverHound's drone looked on. “OK, OK let's get the hell out of here!” The Wave attempted to use his powers again to fly but was met with hopelessness, leaping only to fall to the ground. “ugh, bugger! What the hell is this!” The Wave got himself to his feet, “I can't use my powers Yaru! What did they do to me?” “You are in Burda de Mierda if you don't get out of there Cabron!” OverHound yelled through the drone, “the entire building is swarming with goons!”
“Fuck, OK, shit, The window is the only means of escape, but... I can't fly Yaru!” OverHound looked up at the window from the street, it was 10 stories up. OverHound reached into his bag, he had an idea. The Wave was frantically limping around near the window, it was too far to jump. The voice behind the steel door suddenly blurted “ Dr Gonçalves, if you can hear us, keep The Wave restrained, we've set a breaching explosive, stand back!”
“Yaru! If you have any ideas, now is the time!” The Wave, “Have faith Wave” OverHound retorted with a speck of frustration towards Wave's panic. OverHound bought out his oldest and most trusty gadget, his teleportation ball. He placed it into his powerful slingshot he carries for long distance throwing. The mystical ball allowing OverHound to teleport anywhere. OverHound aimed his slingshot high above the shattered office window.
“OK, Wave, I need you to jump!” OverHound radioed in through his drone. “Have you gone completely insane Yaru! There is nothing you can do!” “Shut up and trust me Wave, Jump out the window, I will catch you! Trust Me!” The Wave vocalized his hesitation... “My powers are gone right now, if you don't already know! I can't!”
Beep Beep Beep Ke-BANG! The breaching explosive busted through the steel door, causing The Wave to shield his eyes. A short moment later, several corporate soldiers heavily armoured with PDF iconography swarmed into the room with their firearms raised, “HANDS UP, GET ON THE GROUND WAVE! WE KNOW YOU CAN'T USE YOUR POWERS HERE, DO IT, NOW!!” Aggressively yelled the leader of the section. The Wave finally knew what he was up against and threw up his hands... “OH SHIT IT'S THE ZAIBATSU YARU, SHIT, THEY GOT ME!” OverHound angrilly yelled through his drone “¡Por el amor de Dios! ¡No discutas conmigo! ¡Salta por la ventana, estúpido toro! JUMP OUT THE WINDOW NOW!
The Wave stumbled back and without hesitation did what OverHound said, And leapt out of the window. “DON'T LET HIM JUMP!” Yelled the Section Leader! As the Wave flung himself out the window, the Section Leader failing at intimidation quickly blurted out “FIRE AT WILL!”
All the while the commotion was happening, OverHound let loose the sling and his teleportation device flung towards a few stories up from the broken window. As The Wave jumped out of the window, Bullets started flying outwards, luckily missing The Wave. As OverHound was de-materializing off the street, he jumped into the air to gather momentum, and rematerialized near his device still in free fall and into the direction of Wave's Fall. OverHound grasped at his teleportation device first and quickly grabbed the Wave as he fell straight into his arms. “Holy shiiiiiiiittt” The Wave yelled as gravity took hold and they fell together towards the street, where hundreds of people watched on....

Ooh, I like this story so far, part of me wants to see them captured though to see what happens. <3 Also theoretically, there are several ways to do this, if the teleportation saves the momentum of the ball, all you really need to do is toss a ball straight down and wait for it to bounce. Then catch and drop, teleport after the bounce, and repeat. Although being near the building might be a risk, so throwing it at a distance and teleporting after the bounce might be more ideal, and eventually you will find something soft to land in.
Yee, though this is also highly telegraphed, meaning it can be predicted and punished, as it not only has a slow moving projectile, but a verbal component as well. especially if the opponent has a long-ranged option with high projectile speed and range. So in this situation, using it offensively would be very dangerous, especially with a nullified team member that can be used to force Overhound into overextending or place him into a situation that would bait him into a losing location. So retreating would be the only viable option. Knowing his powers and how they'd work as well as him being a hero. Going through busy locations might create collateral, so they'd likely take back roads and alleys, and most likely use a body of water to stop themselves. So locating the closest body of water using those criteria would most likely be a good way to find them again after they escape. <3
