It was just out of the corner of his eye he caught it. A flash of that tail. He knew it anywhere.

“FOX?!” He said out loud, the bartender forgotten.

He jumped to his feet and moved quickly after the figure disappearing down the darkened hallway. The bar was poorly lit to begin with. He could hardly see the canine moving.

“FOX, STOP!”

And he did.
