I'd think A is lucid/non-monstrous, and B is monstrous/rampant.
S implies a speciality, superpower, or otherwise unnatural expansion upon "just a furry". It's not needed for type B, because they're already rampaging monsters and the strange abilities are implied as part of the rampancy.

huh, somewhat surprised things calm down enough for the bureaucrats to try and adapt to a good chunk of people turning into mutants. Well the one good thing about this mutation epidemic is that Disney will find it much easier to find actors and extras for the live action movie adaptations. Think Abigail would like to be one of the mice in Cinderella?
