Ah, this takes me back to the first days of AD&D... reading Players Handbook one week and DM's Guide the next, the deciding being ready to start gaming with a party who'd never tried the game either before... the number of mistakes and rule misunderstandings which were made back then were legendary and took years of gaming to clean up XD
... and as an almost fulltime DM I can relate to Todd, though I'm not entirely sure I've had players of his caliber...
