Some banks provide them as well. Originally intended for paying untrusted services. You just put some money on the card and that's the maximum amount anybody can take from it, unless you put more money on the card. So you don't need to delete the card immediately, just leave zero money on the card.
Kinda a "proof this site exists and works" trial and not much else.
The thing that finally got me to get around and finish this comic was an offer for a 2 week trial of 'Discord Nitro' but as soon as you click the button it brought up the credit card prompt. I just closed it and ignore it. Not that I'm interested in Nitro anyhow.

Probably for the best honestly. Discord is especially naggy about you leaving Nitro. I took a gift recently (so no card info) as a kind gesture and the nagging emails, UI changes, and other garbage trying to guilt trip you into staying is crazy. Genuinely so annoying I wouldn't even take it for free after experiencing that.
