Man have I been dreaming of the day that I finally could get to uploading this art piece!
If you've been wondering where my profile banner for FA came from, this is that art.
The Coachtaur, a wicked cool creation from Ma-Adopt where a 'taur form is turned into a Roman chariot configuration, hence the name.
The first iteration of this was great but deep down I wanted more; a lot more! I wanted to be a whole hitch all to myself! Imagining myself at the back of a whole hitch worth of Clydesdales, making them each twelve leggers and wondering what that would feel like handling that with reins, all while having said horses doing a meaningful task of pulling a wagon of some kind of thrilling to ponder. Mentioning this to Ma-Adopt they were accepting of the challenge to draw a monstrous Coachtaur for me and this is the fantastic results.
Simply glorious in all accounts.
This art has to be appreciated full size using the "download" button and zooming in on all the delicious details because Ma-Adopt just absolutely excelled at this.
As seen in the previous works-in-progress shots, we negotiated quite a bit about how exactly reins and harnesswork would actually tether up to three headed horses. All the loops and leather straps, the drawbars connecting the animals to keep them close at each others sides. We discussed aspects o this quite a bit to achieve this result. Ma-Adopt doesn't feel that their strong suit is mechanical devices, so asking to have her draw a beer wagon was pushing her limits of talent, but what else are you going to put behind a whole team of Clydesdales?
Count them, yes, that means there's one hundred twenty legs on the ground here! Imagining the sound of those heavy floofy hooves all clopping by through a town must be quite something to hear up close, and even more impressive to see in person if such a creature were to pass by carrying some kind of cargo.
Of all the aspects of this piece that Ma-Adopt likes best? The three headed emblem on the side of the wagon.
