Letty is in high spirits! At last, Dearia found the home of Letty's dreams, and while he wasn't expecting the cottage to be made of gingerbread, and for everything inside to be edible, but it looked structually sound enough. Better yet, his new roommate is so incredibly sweet, and keeps baking treats for him! What can go wrong?!
It's been a long time since I've written a story purely for myself, and it's been even longer since I've genuinely had so much fun writing this thing! What started out as a silly idea we came up with when my boyfriend and I watched a couple episodes of "A Dragon Goes Househunting" very quickly spiraled out of control. I had a TON of fun writing this nonsense, adding a bunch of wholesome, silly, and fatty stuffs to it. It's a slow start, but it'll get there I promise!
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy! 17.1k words!

As a fan of both your writing style and Dragon Goes House-Hunting, this story was definitely a treat (in more ways than one in Letty's case.) I mean, you actually hit the tone spot-on, and this felt right at home in this universe (especially with Jen's comments about humans).
The lengths of the weight gain aspects of this story definitely came to its logical conclusion for this case in particular, but I really enjoyed Pavlovian training that happened to Letty in particular due to the praising comments and overall pampering. It was a nice angle of coercion that typically ends with some kind of sinister twist, which both did and didn't happen, but I do enjoy when neither the feeder nor the feedee are aware this is happening and need the third party to point out the obvious.
My one big issue with the story was the section with the bookshelves actually. You kinda left a Chekov's gun with that entire bit dedicated to it before it was literally just forgotten by both Letty and the story as a whole. It think that at the climax when Dearia returned, Letty should have somehow finally gotten a good look at the titles for the books, and they were recipe books for meat preparation and serving. That would've added just an extra justification to his panic rather than simply snapping to the thought of being served for dinner immediately.
But that's basically my only criticism. The rest of this was a very comfy read, reminding me that I should be doing something about my own writing interests at some point instead of remaining dormant like I have. This was a fun time. Good work!

Ah, a very good point! In my head, that book scene was supposed to be a sign of how Letty's sorta been changing, like how eating food and being called a good dragon suddenly became way more important to him than reading books. Your idea is much better though, I wish I put that in x.x
Thanks again for this comment! I really appreciated it <3

You did an amazing job with this story, Denya. I feel like this could be an episode of the anime with how it was written and well you got the characters' personalities down. Dearia definitely has the proper and straightforward way of talking but still has his tender moments with Letty, which I always love. Jennifer was such a lovely character and really gives off the sweet, kind granny that will make you feel cozy and loved. I'm sure loads of furs would love to be her roommate if Letty is any indication on how they would be treated. As for Letty, he is absolutely a good dragon that deserves all the pampering and love that happens. Though now I want to see an artistic interpretation of how massive he gets at the end. Speaking of which, the ending really got me; I was not expecting that happening but it is in line to the character.
This was such a fantastic story and I'm honestly happy you really had fun writing it, Denya. A job well done!

I would love to see a follow up to this where Letty loses the weight only to bemoan the fact that the food doesn't taste as good, and he misses how cozy it felt to have all that fat on him, and he decides to go back to Jenny and lean into gaining. The one thing about this story that bothers me is that Letty didn't really mind being fat until Dearia pointed it out. Kinda reads like the fat wasn't the problem, the perception of it was, which makes the ending weirdly a little bit sad?
That is a good point! I wanted to write this story kinda like it came straight from an episode/chapter itself, so I thought ending it ambiguously on whether or not he actually goes through losing the weight was the best way to achieve that, but I guess this is a case of me trying to have my cake and eat it too.
With fatness, though, moderation is key! I'm sure Letty doesn't mind being a big fatty dragon, it's just the fact he didn't realize he'd practically eaten himself into immobility without realizing it that spooked him. Given his fidgety nature, I'm sure he wouldn't enjoy feeling, uh, helpless breached on his tummy. As much as I wanted him to, I also wanted to try writing a story somewhat faithful to the source nature xp
But I do like your idea a lot though! Would love to see a big happy derg enjoy outgrowing the house, bit by bit. I'll definitely consider it~

I see the vision! The fourth wall break at the end was really fun, and I can definitely see Letty panicking in the moment, especially with how vague Jenny was about that end of the month feast. But I think that's also all the more reason he'd look back on it and feel like acting on impulse was a mistake. Ultimately, I think having someone he trusts taking care of him would be the dream for someone as timid as Letty, and now that the misunderstandings have been cleared up, I think Jenny more than fits that description!
I do hope you end up writing that story, but even if not, I still really enjoyed this one! ^^
