"I'm glad that you decided to trust us with your story." Keith admitted while looking at the twins, of whom looked as different as day was to night when it came to muscular density, and yet who also possessed a strong familial bond with one another that shone like a burning star within the darkness of night within the shared aura that they possessed. The former human found himself smiling so much as he thought of his own pokemon, the lot of whom were watching with curious, and cautious, eyes from the door of the kitchen, as they waited to try and make sense of why there were three new pokemon within their home sitting next to their master and his mate.
For his part, Max had so many thoughts about this situation that he honestly hadn't know what to think or say when the trio had wandered onto his and his mate's front door that following morning; the formerly musclebound lucario and midnight lycanroc being so much smaller than they were before was quite the shock to say the least, but then again, after listening to their story only made sense considering that they were neither pokemon nor were they human but instead a fascinating combination of both that Max was already wondering what sort of weird science could even fathom the creation of such creatures. That the bond the two brothers shared with one another was incestous in nature was something that Max had not expected to hear, and thus made both his and Keith's eyes widen in shock at first before quickly settling, but was actually more reasonable than what should have been expected, given both what the pair were, how they had become as such, given the trials they had endured.
This was why neither he, nor Keith thought to say anything as they watched the subtle way in which Larc was casually holding his younger brother's hand underneath the kitchen table, rubbing his much larger fingers across the back of the smaller lycanthrope's hand gently enough through their shared tale that the young medic couldn't help but to shyly smile whenever his brother touched him in such an intimate manner. That the midnight lycanroc was being held much the same way by Carl, despite the beta of the pack attempting to hide what he was doing also proved that the fondness that was shared between the brothers was also shared, at least in part, between the natural born pokemon and the young lycanthrope. However, the burning passion which was being cast between the rock type and the young medic was much more prominent, at least as it was when coming from RipRaff, as could be seen by Max in how the other's aura would become brighter and more vibratory as he rubbed his furry left leg against the side of Carl's clothed right; the smug look of satisfaction which rolled along the red and white wolf's muzzle every time he did so showcase nothing less than a small 'victory' between himself and the other alpha male that was very pointedly trying not to scowl whenever he felt his brother tense up and then relax during the conversation in question.
"The same goes for you." Carl replied while smiling shyly, his face hot with a needy blush as both of his alphas were quietly fondling him underneath the table at the same time. Max had to hold back a chuckle as he listened to the other cough within the depth of his throat before trying to speak once again, his voice no doubt hot with desire as his scent was following the display of ownership and desire that the larger pair cast upon his person. "Who would have guessed that creatures like us would end up together in the same town, right?" A huff escaped out of both Larc and Rip-Raff as they tried not to scowl at the same time.
'I don't think it's a coincidence.' Max spoke out mentally, his crimson eyes regarding the two males unconsciously sandwiching Carl in between them.
"I should hope that it was, otherwise we might have had a problem with one another on our initial meeting." Larc growled while wrinkling his lips up ever so slightly to showcase a pair of elongated teeth as he stared pointedly into the lucario's eyes. "After all, given our history, we would have been right to assume the worse about you, had we been conscious at the time." The open threat was so pointed at this moment that everyone within the room tensed, which made for quite the troublesome few seconds, as the nine eeveelutions staring within the kitchen doorway all, at once, raised their fur and tails to the point where it was quite obvious to all present that ANY such display of hostility in the next few seconds would find the roof being blown off, quite literally. RipRaff echoed this aggression with his own display of aggression in the form of growling low and deep to cause a few hearts to tremble in fear.
Max, never one to be intimidated, simply smirked before clenching his fingers together into a fist that radiated with fighting energy, all the while returning the alpha lucario's stare with the same unflinching aggression that was being cast his way.
Keith wanted to say something, his mouth opening to issue a command, but before he could do so, "Stop it." Carl barked with a severity that actually shook everyone within the room. Turning to look at him, all eyes could see that the formerly calm and aroused figure that had been the hybrid lycanthrope was not a bundle of concentrated admonishment, of which was cast most heavily on his older twin.
Larc immediately deflated, his entire aura of assured confidence being replaced with confused obedience as he snapped his gaze towards his normally docile younger brother. "I would think that we would all have better manners than this, considering that we are guests within someone else's home." The young medic said as he openly chided both his packmates for their unflattering behavior.
"S-sorry." Larc replied with a crestfallen look upon his face. Keith was quite sure that if they other had been in his other form he would have been whimpering and nuzzling against the side of his twin's face and throat, the same way his eeveelutions would whenever he reprimanded them for their bad behavior. Meanwhile, Rip-Raff let out a chuckling snort of self-satisfaction, at least until Carl elbowed him in the side of the ribs, then other also found himself with a crestfallen gaze.
It took a few seconds for everyone to calm down following this sudden display of aggression before someone else decided to speak, 'It's fine. I'm used to dealing with hard asses.' Max chuckled darkly as he shifted his ruby gaze over to the only flareon within the room, of whom stared back at him with a look of smug on indifference that spoke of a history that the trio were actually somewhat curious to learn about.
"It's fine," Keith stated with a slightly forced smile on his muzzle. "We all have our history, and thus our resolution towards our outlook when it comes to others, though thankfully this isn't a place where you need to worry about your safety, as I swear to you that no harm will come unto you while here within our home."
'Provided that you show a certain level of respect while on these grounds.' Max finished pointedly within everyone's minds. The lucario, despite not being the owner of the house, nor the grounds that it sat upon, was very clearly the more dominant male within the house, as everyone, including the flareon that was glaring at him, nodded their heads in acquiescence of his statement, or perhaps it was better to say his demand, as the sharp glower which was case over his handsome face was one that would broker no argument on this matter.
"Of course. We'll make sure to be on our best behavior, won't we?" Carl asked while staring hotly at both his brother and their midnight lycanroc companion. The pair didn't dare speak while underneath the heated gaze of the other and instead simply nodded.
The tension within the room quickly died down at this point, much to Keith relief. "What are you three going to do now?" The eevee inquired right before Max reached underneath the table to stroke his right leg.
"Move on out of town." Larc stated simply, his voice resolute in his admission.
"To where, though?" Keith asked, his voice filled with curiosity and apprehension.
"We were hoping to catch a boat that would take us someplace far away from where most people live." Carl admitted with a great level of sadness. "Maybe to a little island somewhere far off the coast in the southern region of Alola."
'And then what? Live out your lives like hermits?' Max mentally wondered aloud, confusion and worry quite evident within his thoughts.
"It's the only thing that we can do to keep from possibly hurting someone, or worse, infecting them." Larc shot back with a snarl that was less filled with aggression and more heated defeat that came from someone having contemplated and accepted that lot in life.
"I can't imagine doing something like that, even with being a pokemorph now." Keith whispered while looking at his transformed hands. When a black paw soon moved over to encompass his right hand the eevee turned to look at his lover with a shy smile. Max returned the look with an unfailing grin that spoke of an optimism and strength that the trio of lycanthropes couldn't help but to admire.
"We don't have much of a choice." Carl said with a sigh as he recalled the past few months after leaving the college where he and his brother was studying at. "Everywhere we've gone there's been one problem after another. Not to mention the fact that what we are can't really be controlled all that well in certain circumstances, at least without a lot of concentration." The memory of the previous night still echoed within the younger lycanthrope's mind as he recalled the physical ache that burned within his being to transform and let loose all of his feral instincts upon those that thought to have hurt both himself and those around him.
'That explains the wave of energy that I can sense within the three of you.' Max looked over the trio and could barely find anything out of place on either of their bodies, but the mounting energy that was restrained within their being was like a tidal wave being held back by a buckling wall that threatened to collapse at any second. He could only imagine how much mental and physical exhaustion the trio must be undergoing at the moment.
"That's mostly because we're fighting against ourselves for your sake." Larc grumbled while looking at his smaller sibling. It was quite clear of whose idea it had been to come here, as could be seen in the way Carl reached around his brother's side to hug him close before leaning up to nuzzle the side of his alpha's neck. Rip-Raff barked at that which made the beta turned to lean over to lick his other alpha across the side of the face so as to not leave him out of the shared moment of fondness.
"How so?" Keith asked while smiling playfully, his dark brown eyes almost twinkling in knowing understanding of what was about to take place there within his kitchen.
"We can resist the moon's call if we try hard enough, but as the day turns to night it becomes harder and harder to do, as the blood within our veins starts to burn with the need to let loose and run free within the darkness." Larc grunted while rolling his muscular shoulders, the sound of popping bones being reset into place made Keith pull back slightly, his muzzle a complex mask of disquietude and concern.
"It's like trying to hold up a steel crate over your head." Carl interjected as he reached up to squeeze his older brother's shoulder. "You might be able to do it for a short while, but soon enough the need to let go is going to crash down and when that happens...well..." Carl hissed as the memory of a certain month prior overcame him.
'You turn feral, right?' Max asked dryly.
Larc said nothing but his blue eyes turned magenta and then red as he looked to the lucario in front of him. "To say the least." He chuckled darkly when Max narrowed his eyes at him.
'In that case, why come here to our home?' Max questioned while glaring back at the larger lycanthrope, his lips wrinkling up over his teeth in warning.
"Because I was curious." Carl laughed aloud while rubbing the back of his head somewhat abashedly. "After all, it's not everyday that one stumbles over a six foot tall pokemon who possesses telekinetic powers."
"The same could be said for bumping into were-pokemon." Keith chuckled as he still tried to wrap his brain around the oddity that was such a happening. The young gym leader turned pokemorph made a mental note of contacting his mother to ask her about such matters, as he was sure that, despite being retired and living her life quite comfortably with her new partner, she was still deeply connected with other gym leaders throughout the land, so someone somewhere had to have some information on this subject matter. "But putting that aside, are you sure about disappearing from the world? I mean, there might be a way for someone to find a cure for you."
"Nothing is wrong with us!" Larc growled while pulling himself up from his chair, his hackles, for what they were at the moment, were raised in a very clear warning over this particular subject matter.
"Calm down, Larc! He didn't mean that in a bad way!" Carl roared sharp enough to make his now snarling older brother flinch ever so slightly.
'Listen to your mate before you do or say something that will get you in trouble.' Max warned the standing lycanthrope.
"Trouble like what?" Larc's asked as his instincts flared into a deeper aggression that now had to do more with reaffirming his stated position as alpha of the pack over the possible threat of someone trying to tinker around with his being.
'Someone putting you flat on your back.' Max challenged openly while slowly rising up to look the other in the face. RipRaff wanted to stand as well, but a firm hand on his shoulder by Carl prevented the midnight lycanroc from doing as such, much to the red and white wolf's annoyance.
"I'd like to see said someone try doing that." the sound of wood being carved echoed throughout the kitchen made everyone except Max look around and then down to where Larc's elongating fingernails were curling into the wood through the shoes that he was wearing.
'I'd be happy to, but you're leaving soon.' Max quipped as a dark smirk drew across the edge of his face, which served to make Larc even more incensed than he already was. 'Though I don't see that ending well for you, one way or another.'
"What do you mean?" Carl inquired while pulling himself up to hug his older twin.
"Yes, what do you mean?" Keith asked as he turned to look curiously at his lover.
'Only that there's no island in the world that can keep the three of you fed, especially if, like I'm guessing, you use up a lot of energy maintaining those quarter ton plus bodies of yours.'
"We...do eat a lot when we're in our true forms." Carl admitted gently up to his slightly perturbed sibling.
'Now just think about it for a second.' The lucario said with a small pause for emphasis. 'How long do you think any island is going to be able to sustain your appetites if you live so far away from the every modern convenience you've had the pleasure of utilizing so far?' Neither of the three lycanthropes said anything at that which gave Max the go ahead to continue. 'Now with that in mind, what happens if you eat everything on whatever island you manage to stick yourselves on? Or better to say, what will you then eat if there's nothing else other than yourselves around?' the cold truth of reality hit the trio like a sledgehammer as they quickly looked to one another in fear and concern. 'With that thought in mind, I have a different solution to your problem.'
"And what's that?" Carl asked as he watched his brother slump back down into his seat, defeated yet still enraged.
Before Max replied he turned to look to his mate who in turned drew his sights over to the lucario. Both made gestures with their ears and faces, yet no words were spoken by either until finally Keith was left wide eyed and blinking. Max looked to the eevee pokemorph and waited. It took several seconds but once he settled on something within his mind the normal type pokemorph nodded.
"Stay here with us." Keith offered gently.
"Huh?" Rip-Raff said startling Max and Keith as the midnight lycanroc had all but been silent throughout the entire conversation.
"Max means that you should live here on the grounds, seeing as we have more than enough space for creatures your size." Keith replied calmly.
"Are...are you sure that's a good idea?" Carl asked carefully as he looked between his two alphas before turning to regard the eevee with a knowing gaze cast upon his slightly perturb face.
'Don't worry.' Max began while continuing to stare at Larc with a smug grin on his angular face. 'You'll find that everyone here is well versed in fighting off dangerous opponents, should push come to shove, so there's no need to fear what might happen if the worse comes to the worst.'
"You really think that you can handle us if we go all out?" Larc challenged.
'Oh I know that I can.' Max remarked coyly. 'Plus, my mate has been handling pokemon for much of his life, so he'll know exactly how to deal with any...unexpected happening, should things get out of hand, not that he'll need to, given who is here with him.' The lucario's chest puffed up as he spoke, making both Larc and RipRaff grumble at his projected haughtiness.
"Oh yeah?" Larc growled as his face drew itself into a predatory smirk.
'Mh-mmm.' Max nodded. 'Also, there's the fact that you'll be able to keep in close proximity to the human world, thus giving you access to the food you need, the tools that will help you through whatever hurdles that you may endure, and the social comfort for which some of you seem to want more than others.' Larc and Rip-Raff turned to look at Carl who had the good decency to blush.
"But we wouldn't mind having you stay here if you wanted to." Keith chimed in. "Though you will have to warm yourselves up to everyone else here in the house." The eevee pokemorph turned his head to watch several multi-colored heads glaring at the trio from around the side of the door to the living room. "It's up to you, though." He said as he turned to look back at the Carl and the others. "We won't force you to do anything that you don't want to."
Carl, Larc, and Rip-Raff turned to look at one another at that.

The eevee pokemorph turned his head to watch several multi-colored heads glaring at the trio from around the side of the door to the living room. "It's up to you, though." He said as he turned to look back at the Carl and the others. "We won't force you to do anything that you don't want to."
Carl, Larc, and Rip-Raff turned to look at one another at that.
