P.S. YES I KNOW I FORGOT THE MARKINGS... something went wrong with the file and erased my colour layers in gimp. so please for the love of scales do NOT comment on it. (seriously.. though I think people will just completely ignore this anyway) I will change the picture once I've re-done the one with the markings on it. In the meantime.. enjoy)
As the teacher brought his class closer to the cave's entrance he smiled more though he was careful not to let his students see it. "Now class, Remember this creature we're about to see is a rarity. Also I would ask you leave your cameras and phones outside the cave. We don't want to scare it."
Ever since he'd found it the teacher had been eager to show the kids the truely unique specimen, one that wasn't even found in any sort of mythology books! The closest he could find was a naga: a half-snake, half-human creature. Brought back to his thoughts as they came to entrance, overseeing as his pupils put their cameras and phones down hidden behind a bush.
They silently made their way inside, through the tunnel some of the teens and younger children stopping and pulling off a few glistening black scales they found keeping them as secret souveniers. Little did they know it would be the last the world would see of them.
The group went deeper and the teacher motioned for them to crouch down behind a large rock. They held back a collective gasp as they beheld the creature sleeping on a bed of its own coiled body its upper body rising and falling slightly as it breathed in and out. What was most curious though was not only its accent colour: a pleasant cyan colour which seemed to make the creature incredibly beautiful as well as dangerous, or even the blades adorning the end of its tail as well as its elbows but also the fact this creature had wings. One that could only be described as either demonic, or.. draconic.
Satisfied that his students were aptly rewarded he motioned they move back towards the entrance. They nodded and began moving out but as they did one dared to look back and froze instantly as his eyes met the captivating cyan eyes of the beast they'd just been admiring. Its gaze was neither angry nor upset nor even curious. It was as if it knew what they were there for already. Its eyes flicked upwards as the teacher came back to fetch the boy who'd lagged behind but as he gripped the boy's arm his breath caught in his throat noticing the creature was awake. As it stared at them its forked tongue flicked out again the same colour as its claws and markings.
A cold chill ran down his spine as the creature got up from its resting position uncoiling to its full length. He inhaled sharply and repressed a groan. The beast was nearly 100ft long! The chill spread down into his heart and he felt a knot forming in his stomach as he realized none of them were leaving here alive. No one would ever hear or know of their discovery. He instinctively pulled at his young charge when the creature began wrapping its thick tail around him but a low hiss saw the man reluctantly let go, the boy seeming completely entranced as the glowing black maw of the beast opened wide and began to devour him whole, just as it would do to the rest of the humans which had strayed into its domain
