I'd like to share my thoughts on this topic. I find myself drawing for myself relatively often, even though others tell me that I don't draw for myself often and mostly go into drawing for others. However, I often feel guilty when I do draw for myself. I don't get many orders, so I should feel more free. But the feeling of obligation, the feeling that I need to draw to sell, haunts me. Recently, I've limited myself to sketching. For pleasure, I draw our cat with my husband. The rest of the time, I think I'm a bad person and should be drawing for others, not sitting around feeling guilty in front of customers. To avoid that, I need to improve my time management and realize that I have as much as a month to complete a project. In theory, I have no reason to rush.
