Viktor had been an aspiring Russian actor hoping to break into theater or film. Yet, with a struggling economy and few jobs, he jumped at a well-paying but secretive job. One that would transform him and lead to dark places.
In one of my earlier Nanobot stories, I alluded to an experiment in which the Russians tried to tame the Nanobots. This small prequel story is about that incident. It takes place roughly ten years before the story “Improving Oneself” and at least five years after “An Experiment Gone Very Wrong Again.”
