It *definitely* has its downsides though. I mean, I've accepted that it's just how I am and see it as part of my identity, but my health is precarious, it's way too easy to go from 'surprisingly healthy for being so underweight' to 'horribly unwell' due to lacking a buffer of bodyfat, and I have to pay a lot of attention to what I'm eating to make sure I'm getting enough of the right things since it's extra-important for me. Also the fact the reason I'm so skinny is because of Marfan syndrome, which comes with its own set of health problems and also chronic pain.
