I figured it was time to establish what the Crux Omnimatrix is and the morph augment that makes strallows possible. So, this is a bit of a lore dump. Enjoy.
This is a five page introduction.
All works are mine, apart from a couple stock images.
Below is the text content.
AUGMENT: CRUX MORPHER
Morph Requirements
Morph Period, 14 Days
Hours of Sleep, 10
Caloric Intake, 6-8k
Hydration, 3-4L
Hours of Exercise, 1-2
—
The 14 Days
The transformation process takes 14 days to complete. This can be shorted but is not recommended as it can increase pain, hunger, cancer risks, or cause death.
Nutrition and sleep
Transformation is an energy intensive process. Users undergoing a morph will find themselves more hungry than usual and experience most of the physical changes during sleep.
Deeply Immersive
The transformation is immersive, allowing users to feel as if they have been reborn as strallows. Their instincts allow them to adapt quickly to their new bodies, minimizing any period of awkwardness adjusting to the new body.
Sexual Transformation
Users will experience changes in their reproductive systems that may challenge the individual’s sense of self, causing them to grapple with their new identity as a strallow.
—
Genetics
Their appearance — although customizable after the morphing is done — is largely determined by their existing genetics.
Genetics Affected
• Colors of fur, eyes, paws
• Senses
• Physical stature
• Facial structure
—
Strallow Juveniles
While any human age 14 and above can initiate the morphing sequence, no strallows below the age of 14 exist except by birth. Such strallows are called a strallowborns. Since they have never been a human, their worldview differs significantly from their morph counterparts.

Do you ever plan on making a full-fledged comic series? You seem to be taking your worldbuilding very seriously, and it would be awesome to see another furry webcomic with TF themes akin to Black Tapestries, but with more of a futuristic setting. Whatever you decide to do is up to you, but I'm interested in your future as an artist either way.
Such an interesting lore. Wow.
Asking curiously, are these nanitic implants inherited towards the offspring? Like, do human children inherit being connected to this network, or does that truly stay seperate between individuals? Also could a naturally born Strallow receive the same treatment as well, thus hypothetically giving them the ability to transform into a human?
Keep up that amazing work! I love reading about your works!

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoy them.
Yes, if the user has the implant, it passes down to the next generation, making additional implanting unnecessary and seamless. Because of the power involved, parents can control when access to the omnimatrix can be allowed.
And yes, strallows can morph into humans.

Hmm, very interesting. That surely would change perception of the world, and how to interact with it a lot if you are connected to a vast multi-layered network from borth. Guess though there might be some layers of control, that only certain options are accessable at certain ages? Like, that the first functions are only available to a human from like, age 8 or so? To avoid humans developing a too strong mental / neural dependency on the nanites and the network at large?
Just an idea that popped up in my mind. As it reminded me of one episode in Stargate, where they encounter a planet with humans that use nanites so extensively for their thinking, that it actually prevents their brains from developing proper neural networks. So when the nanites would be removed, it would render an adult at a mental stage like a toddler.
And cool. Guess both a naturally born Strallow and a morph would rarely morph back into a human form.

That neural link is an interesting concept. It's like how someone who uses computers for everything, and perhaps today, generative AI, to do their work and when they are without it, they essentially become that: toddlers in some sense.
I guess it comes down to the popular adage: “with great power comes great responsibility”.
"Rarely" morphing back might be an overgeneralization. But I get you. :P
