It's a Protogen, I guess. I know furries like these. I like some of the aesthetics of them and figure I should grab onto any shred of motivation to draw at all and HODL.

I know there's, like, lore and stuff to these guys but I don't care too much, this is probably a one-off.
I know there's also the typical "closed species" drama and "whitelist" and "blacklist" and whatnot but I *really* don't care about that. I know you're free to make your own if you want.

It's far chubbier than I think they're supposed to be, and it's a bit scuffed up, I guess maintenance is being neglected, much like my body IRL.

Also socks and gloves because I didn't feel like drawing hands and feet in detail. Maybe it's a worker and those are for protecting the hands and feet, which are inexplicably organic despite the Protogen apparently having modular and detachable synthetic limbs?
I always thought they were either cyborg critters in cyber armor of some sort, or, like, fully synthetic mechanical creatures of some sort. You know, like a Furby or something but a proper furry and not just a creepy electronic toy.

Something something nanites I guess.

If I did end up coloring it, I'd probably call it "Dumptruck" and just use the color palette from Dominic Mephitto's Skunkdog form, and I'd actually make the eyes and stuff glowing like they're supposed to. And maybe make the hands and feet properly mechanical/armored even though that's probably illegal.

I'm not sure a Protogen had any place in my world-building anyways, since it's an external element owned by someone else somewhere. Not that a strange cyborg/robot creature couldn't exist in one of my space settings.

Anyone expecting any sort of actual return to art from me is going to be sorely disappointed. I just cannot muster any enthusiasm for anything anymore, but I figured I should at least post this.
