vV v A little homage to the ''Little Polar Bear'' cartoon series I grew up with. It's a series of short-stories starring Lars and his friends going on all sorts of ice-cold misadventures.

Vv V I've always thought this series had a kind of ''Animé'' vibe to it, with how the artstyle looks and what not. I looked it up, and believe it or not -- these episodes actually DID air in Japan, though it doesn't originate from the country in question. The characters of Lars the Polar Bear, Lena the Snow Hare and Peeps the Arctic Goose, I believe are from the mind of Dutch story writer Hans de Beer. At least, it says so in the epilogue credits.

I wanted to give this homage a somewhat darker and more serious tone, similarly to what I did with my OWN Polar Bear character Poluky, and seal character Meira, in this picture I made a while back -- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53428927/ That yellow glow in the background over the snowy hills, to be clear, is NOT supposed to be fire, although it does fit, against all of my intentions. I'm a bit split on it. It is supposed to be a faint yellow sky that would mix in with the blue-and-pink of the rest of the air shown in this picture, but you can view it as either way.
