Ulric hails from a dried, yet rich desert culture. It’s a Mix of Japanese and Mid-Eastern ideas and. And there are even some places near the mountains that have much richer ecosystem. And it wouldn’t be too far off, as all that seperates the Desert and the mountains is a valley.

So in order to harness it, his kingdom Built Windmills and and found ways to breathe a bit of life into the desert with magic.

Ulric’s background, is that he’s a prince from this desert nation. And he is surrounded by people enslaving other people. With Beastmen (Beast-kin) also being enslaved and used for manual labor.

Even so, there was a surgence in Warrior culture, and it wouldn’t be long before a rise in Philosophical understanding helped to shape his way of life.

But regardless, it seemed that none wanted to challenge the rampant slavery. A Fact that he had to grow up with since his father allowed half-Beast children to play with him when he was young. To make him grow use to having slaves. But it did the opposite. It’s his fondness, as well as his sympathies towards them that grew. And as he reached adulthood, he could not resist find the female’s more alluring.
