So six years ago I bought my Gun Metal Silver 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Z71, Black-Tie edition with 7 miles on the mileage meter.
I made a promise that after 10 years, I planned to sell my truck to my younger sister and brother-in-law for a dirt cheap price, since they wanted a truck. I take care of my things, so I keep things looking new. Well, my younger sister totaled her 2018 Honda Civic earlier this year and her insurance only payed her out $16,000. I told her to give me $15,000, and the truck was hers with the remaining $1000. That was $12,000 below kelly bluebook pricing. It only had 47,000 miles on it, and new COSTCO tires. So yeah, she got a good deal.
With $2000 of my own money, plus the insurance payout, I put a down payment toward my new Black 2024 Chevrolet Colorado LT (had 72 miles on the meter). Its not a Z71 (which had a Camaro base V6 engine.... new one is a V4 Turbo), but it still has some nice perks to it. Full leather seats, full digital display screen, 360 camera views, and so on. I like it. The new Z71 sells for over $20,000 more of what i paid for my last one >.o .
i know its not Furry stuff, but I thought I'd share some updates to my stagnant account. Oh, and I've had my truck since June 22nd of this year <^.^'> .

Your Colorado has the updated Turbo Max version of the same L3B "Turbo-4" that's in my 2020 Silverado. GM went in and reinforced the outside of the engine block with more gusseting in key locations to make it stronger over the old version in my truck. They use the same Turbo-4 engine and 8-speed transmission in the top tier Colorado's and base model Silverado's now. The only difference is engine tunes, the Silverado is rated for 310hp & 430lb-ft torque. I think the Colorado's are somewhere around 287hp unless GM decided to keep the same 310hp on new models.
I try to run strictly AMSOIL Signature in mine when I do oil changes but funds don't always allow it. I also use an extended-size oil filter from PPE that filters down to 10-microns that gives an extra half-quart of oil capacity. It's mainly designed as an upgrade for the 3.0l Duramax diesel but the Duramax uses the same PF66 oil filter that comes on the Turbo-4 as well as GM's 2.0l engines in some of their SUV's.

Ya, I have that problem with certain things when I comment. I tend to add in the technical part numbers for things and forget not everyone who owns said vehicle knows that. Long story short I try to run the best motor oil and oil filter I can get my hands on to help with longevity. I don't trust the dealership or oil-change shops so I do it myself when needed. Since you said you took care of your stuff I thought you also changed your oil yourself as well. So I ended up tossing some part numbers in there.
My truck, (a Silverado) is the bigger brother to the Colorado. Not saying it's better, it's just the bigger brother. But the 2019 model year Silverado is where the 2.7l originated. GM made it as a base engine replacement for the older out going 4.3l V6 that came standard in all of the bigger base model trucks.
GM also had them as a base engine option for earlier model Colorado's but the 3.6l V6 was always the biggest engine offered in the higher-tier trims. But, it looks like GM has gotten rid of the V6 completely in the newer model year Colorado's and replaced it with two versions of the 2.7l. A base model rated for 237hp and the Turbo-Max which is rated for 310hp. Both models are the same engine and have turbo's on them. They just have to give the more powerful option a fancy name
I find if you do a lot of normal driving and hauling the 2.7l is very good at doing that.
