Homemade heavenly potato chips just right to snack on and enjoy from the kitchens of

Pennsylvania is the undisputed junk food capital of the United States. With salty snack makes like Utz's and Snyder of Hanover, who can blame me for wanting to add my own little cog to the wheel. This recipe is a quick and easy way to make delicious, crispy potato chips. They go great as an appetizer, side dish or just a hunger-busting snack!
Ingredients:
1 large Russett potato
1/2 liter of oil (I used vegetable oil, but others like canola or peanut will do)
Powdered parmesan cheese
Garlic powder
Salt
Oregano
Intructions:
1. Wash and peel potato.
2. Slice potato thinly.
3. Heat oil to 375 degrees F.
4. Once oil is hot, drop in slices of potato.
*NOTE* Even if your fryer has a basket, it is better to drop the slices in one at a time, as it will prevent the slices from sticking together.
5. Allow chips to fry for about 2-3 minutes or until the get golden-brown.
6. Once all chips are fried, pour chips onto a paper towel covered plate to help absorb excess oil
7. Sprinkle on salt, Parmesan, garlic powder and oregano to taste (sticks better if you sprinkle it on while the chips are still a bit oily
8. ENJOY!
Be sure to try lots of different toppings!
